I've got brembo pads on my fronts bit better bite and stopping power than ebc and more importantly don't make a wooshing sound

@IC3 , if that a foot guard thing? Looks quite bent to me mate.
Does it screw in ok?

Do you want me to pop down to the breakers and get some pictures of the bars? There are three different sets he had I believe.
I'm sending the foot guard back, no charges he accepted the return request without any problems. I bought a new one from a different place, that should be with me on Tuesday possibly.

If you don't mind mate, than sure. I'm only interested in standard handlebars though, Renthals I can pickup 2nd hand ones for 10 quid from my local garage, they've 5 pairs which are all different. :)

I find EBC to be extremely overrated tbh.
They're, I'm going with different pads next time round.

I wish!!!

Just the standard 2 pot Nis calipers. But, find them to be really good for their size.

I've tried ebc before, they were okay, just thought might try brembo out.

The non-R Street Triple brakes are actually fantastic. The are less "grabby" than the R version. It's just a shame the suspension isn't as good.

You are right there. They look similar to the tok calipers you get like on the sv, er6, bandit etc etc and find them so nicer to use.

Really wished I test rode the r version, just insurance was ridiculous compared to the non r.

Phone calls, satnav and comms between another sena headset are great but today I tried to play music and it started crackling as soon as the song played, like the interference you get when you put 2 phones too close together.

Weird.

Yeah, we experienced this too with my Sena last weekend. I can only assume it doesn't handle a second BT connection very well. (Or is it third... SatNav, Phone, other riders Sena) I had to reset my SatNav to remove the connection, even then it wasn't good for music, became more than a crackle to the point it was jittering really bad and almost not even playing. Very odd.

Our weekend to Wales extended to the Peak District to avoid some poor weather. A really good fun weekend to prepare for bigger things later this year. Slowly getting to grips with the drone - can't wait to get to some proper mountains. A short clip:

Oh damn, don't do this. I've lasted ages telling myself I don't need a drone, don't waste my money... but those drone shots look awesome.

Can I ask, what drone do you have? Do you pre-programme a route for it to take, then set off after it on the bike?

A year or more back I almost backed the kickstarter one that could follow you around (I don't think it got made in the end, so best I didn't)

Mind you, I don't often get that far out into the wilderness. I don't know if it would be as useful around Herts or Essex for example.

It is a DJI Mavic Pro - I chose it because it is so portable. It can follow and track you but it has limitations, so everything in the video was just shot manually. There are some third party apps that can follow preset waypoints. Should be an absolute hoot in the Alps later this year :)

Be careful if passing through Switzerland as they are illegal here without special filming permission and you will get the device confiscated.

They're big on personal privacy here and everyone seems to report loud buzzing things in the sky to the police.

Friend in work bought a new KTM 690 duke a short while ago, since doesn't like the riding position and went into part X... However his misses kicked off and said he's not selling it.

They only offered him £3500 - £4000.... I offered to buy it cash sale, what type of price is fair for a private sale would you say? I think its a 12 plate

While cleaning the bike on Saturday I was going over the chain and rear sprocket, wiped one of the nuts and thought "did that just move or am I imagining it?".

Lesson learnt don't reuse the old nyloc nuts when fitting a new sprocket  4 out of 6 were lose enough for a little wobble. New nuts are en route and I'm very thankful I wasn't being my usual lazy self and actually cleaned the bike or else that would have ended very badly.

It also gives me a reason to replace the supposedly stainless washers I fitted under them which have turned to rust in a couple of weeks, so I picked up some A4 stainless ones if they rust then somethings very wrong.

I do love my random Ti parts, but even I drew the line at around £3 per nut compared to the under £2 I paid for 6 SS ones.

Had this from my friend..... What do you guys think?

CX12 . Will have brand new MOT, has heated grips, upgraded GPR exhaust and KTM alarm. He will take photos tonight and check the mileage.

£4500 with standard exhaust and no alarm or £5000 with the upgraded exhaust and alarm.

If youre interested in having a look when you see the pics I’ll give you his number.

From a quick look on AT you can pick one up from a dealer for around the £4.5k mark or a little more so seems a bit high for a private sale.
