There's a chance this was just some lone nut with a car and a knife I guess.
As others have said & from the gist of the news, I think that too. There must be Hi-def CCTV round there & the investigation must include footage taken from those cameras. I walked over that bridge just before Xmas 2015, it is very busy & that car could've run over a lot more people, my opinion to prevent a car running people over on the pavements of Westminster bridge is to install railings or bollards of some kind with the rest of the bridges that cross central London too. A pity that someone has been killed & that St. Thomas hospital is close be to treat the injured. I hope that the perpetrator(s) if still alive, get their comeuppance.

Victims have been fingered as suspects by over-enthusiastic media before. I will wait for confirmation from proper channels.
So guy drives down the bridge, mounted the pavement to run down people. At the end of the bridge he crashes into the gate, gets out and into the grounds and stabs a police officer before being shot.
theres a tent up now where that officer was being treated
I noticed that in the courtyard too.Yet the 'attacker' was being taken away on a stretcher so it couldnt have been him.
Yep. Looks like they hit a person on their way into the fence too - https://twitter.com/claudiascore/status/844561131876204544

stripped to carry out cpr etc probably and check he had nothing else on him
Not sure it's been posted on yet but this attack was alluded to on 4chan. There was a post yesterday which contained morse code. The morse code had a URL in it, the URL (pastebin) had binary numbers on. The binary numbers translated to ASCII showed a GPS coordinate. The GPS coordinate was Big Ben.
This was posted YESTERDAY.
Why are they giving medical treatment to the attacker????
London Ambulance Service Deputy Director of Operations Pauline Cranmer said:
"We can confirm we have treated at least 10 patients on Westminster Bridge and have put a number of hospitals on alert as we continue to respond to this incident.
Does anyone know the origin/place of birth of the attacker?![]()
