Again how does a temporary deportation of a natively born British person to their parents country of origin works? How do they ever get to come back? How will you assess that they are no longer suitable to be on a watch list when they are living abroad?

Temporary just doesnt work and you know it. So you may as well come clean and say permanent as that is clearly what you mean.

You only have to look at social media to see what chaos that would bring. Most "dodgy" looking families would be reported in a flash just because they werent liked.

Most people where i live want all the "ragheads" deported anyway

I completely agree. I hope I'm wrong but now that the assailant has been named I fully expect one of the red tops to go to print for tomorrow with a huge picture of him under the headline "the face of evil". It's exactly what he would have been hoping for. Like I said I hope I am, and would be happy to be proved, wrong

Just to be clear then, your view is that the white, homegrown, lone-wolf, far-right extremist terrorists (ala Breivik, Mair etc) need to differentiated from the brown, foreign or 1st and 2nd generation immigrant lone-wolf far-right extremist terrorists?

Why bother?

Why not come up with a solution that catches all of these scumbags based on the overriding similarities rather than the arbitrary, inconsequential difference you're settled on?

Right, temporary drastic measures with PERMANENT deportations for anyone on an Islamic Terrorism Watch List, now does that clarify it for you?

could be useful, there used to be armed checkpoints on every road going into the City of London at the height of the IRA's campaign, they're still there but not often manned though all roads have camera systems monitoring all vehicles. Extending such a system to parts of Westminster would probably be worth considering.

My views are based on what this thread is all about, Islamic terrorism, i havnt mentioned anything about the other kinds or terror you mention above, this thread isn't about any of them, but if you would like an answer as to what to do with other forms of extremism\watchlist, then whatever the severest punishment that is available, lock up, deport or anything else to get them off our streets.

I am merely showing how it worked, I had never looked up how internment worked, especially in the USA,
the source isn't exactly complimentary about it, is it? That's not advocating their methods, but something
will have to be done, the voting public won't put up with all these attackers coming up as "known to MI5" forever.

You said temporary in the first place and didnt make it clear. So now you are at least clear. No jury, no trial, if you go on the watch list you are deported for life.

So if i report you for suspicious terrorist behavior and you go on the watch list you are happy to be deported for life?

Notice you have moved the goalposts again and now its only "Islamic" people on the watch list. You are fine with home grown white supremacists, animals activists and IRA terrorists continuing to injure and kill people then? Right glad you are cause I'm not.

But you are failing to learn from history. Two wrongs do not make a right. It was pandering to populism in certain press and especially farmers who wanted to wipe out the Japenese competition which lead to the government invoking internment which was a massive knee jerk over reaction. Seizing citizens assets and lovking them up indefinitely based on what they may or may not do in their lives isnt the solution.

Check their house is big enough, benefits all coming through, nothing they've missed having? Give them
a flyer on their `uman rights? Mustn't offend them in any way... ;) Tell MI5 to get off their backs?
