Do Nando's serve spirits?

They were favoured by the upper classes over a hundred years ago when travel times were long. I assure you, no one from the gentry is hanging out in Nando's sipping from his hip flask.

Now we just wait for somebody to dig out a picture of a young Prince Harry sipping 50 year old single malt whilst filling his face with peri peri chicken wings.

If you were young and new to the excitement of drinking, i can see it as a bit of a laugh.

If you require it to sit through a half hour meal, then its a little worrying/embarrassing.

Remember to ask them to put switch your medium spice flag with the extra hot one so everyone thinks of you as a baller than an alcoholic.

I like to get absolutely out of my tree on cheap beer and marching powder in the spoons toilets just around the corner from my local Nandos then march in and demand my meal like a ****ing boss. Anyone with an issue gets covered in peri peri and eaten as well.

When I'm finished I like to rub any left over extra hot sauce into my eyeballs while staring down the melts on the table next to me.

Cheeky Nandos like a ****ing LAD!

why not just pop down there.
if they serve spritis then good
if they only serve beer and wine, have a non-alcoholic drink?

i don't see the point in having to have an alcoholic drink

You

You truly are the archbishop of banterbury.

I've had a few drinks before going to nandos before
it was great fun! :)

this is one of the only places you will go to eat and actually sit down with plates/cutlery AFTER you've paid for your meal. (this excludes those pesky chicken shop places everywhere now)

Take it your too much of a snob to have a bottle of beer or some wine then?

Snobbery, wtf?! I don't like the taste of beer or wine.

As for alcoholism, a double vodka is less alcoholic than a pint. Considering it's a planned meal that our group always ends up spending about 2 bloody hours at, I would be the only one not drinking.

"Fermented crap" like every spirit?!?! If you're going to try and take some imaginary superior position because you don't like beer and wine, at least take some time to understand what your big, clever drink is... :p

Spirits are distilled. Drinks that aren't like beer and wine have a characteristic taste common to them that I don't like.

Surprised you ate at Nando's, are you sure it wasn't halal??

Yes, a fermented liquid is then further processed to make the drink, much like wine and beer - but none the less the ingredients are fermented - so "fermented crap" as you put it covers spirits.

is that really an issue?
i would say no!

I've never been to a Nando's, do you really pay for the food before it's served?

Yup. It isn't that uncommon for food places to work like that, especially when they're serving people quickly - Same thing with McDonalds, Burger King, GBK, itsu, wasabi etc...

if you're going to spend two hours catching up with some mates with a planned meal I'd consider trying somewhere else - most customers won't spend that long at all and if the place is busy I'm not sure staff will appreciate it much, especially if it is lunchtime or early evening
