I've never been to a Nando's, do you really pay for the food before it's served?
Indeed, lack of table service is a pet hate. But it's fast-food, that's how they work

Yes, a fermented liquid is then further processed to make the drink, much like wine and beer - but none the less the ingredients are fermented - so "fermented crap" as you put it covers spirits.![]()
I think I've been twice. Once a long time ago, and once more recently because we needed food before the cinema and thought it'd be a good idea. It's dreadful. Just loud and overly busy... twinned with bang average food. Is there nowhere better you could opt for?! Perhaps you're the one organising this and don't realise it's rubbish as you've never been.
As odd as it feels saying this: asim does have a point.
I mean it's Nando's! It is barely a step up from McDonalds - not really something that people tend to plan far in advance thus the expression 'cheeky Nando's'. I've generally been to one in the past on say a Friday lunchtime or maybe as a quick meal with colleagues when working late and it's always been on a whim.
I'm not sure that spending 20-30mins in the place necessitates bringing a hip flask any more than say a trip to pizza express, GBK or itsu. They're quick, cheap food options - you can easily go to a bar before or after.
It's incomparable on a chemical level, you are extracting pure alcohol, you could even use synthetically produced alcohol when making spirits and not alcohol produced by fermentation. You have a product that is very distinct from wine and beer.
You must be one of those strong characters that cares what people think about them.Nope. Hip flask out in Nando's = bell-end.
