US: Black Sails - STARZ's new original series, with pirates!

Last episode was very good, but the timescales were too fast from each other. From the time they took to walk through the tunnels, the fleet was already there in the distance :p

Epic ep6.

Will be sad to see this series end :(

Guthnie dead, LJS's woman dead, Anne still proper ****** up, thought she was dead  It's all going to be kicking off big style :D

Quite disappointed in the latest episode, I suppose after the build up of the last few weeks and the battle it was always going to feel a bit tame.

It was quite a tidy ending I guess. Everyone happy sort of thing, except maybe Billy, unless he find the treasure, but even then he's stranded anyway. All in all a good show that I would recommend.

So Captain Flint....

*****Spoiler Ending*****

Did he really have his reunion or was it a story John made up and he was "disposed"

Made the whole thing have a happy ending, neglecting to mention that Jack Rackham was swinging at the end of a rope just a couple of months after 'Mark Reed' joined the crew...
Could have easily got another couple of series out of it I reckon.

Lol i accidentally saw the first episode of this and was laughing until some posh British pirate was going on about being wet and ****ing herself at which point I thought it had gone full retard
I'll watch the rest when i get time.

Watched the concluding episode last night. AWESOME!!

It was quite a tidy ending I guess. Everyone happy sort of thing, except maybe Billy, unless he find the treasure, but even then he's stranded anyway. All in all a good show that I would recommend.
I read Treasure Island, so knew that:
Billy doesn't find the treasure itself, but does escape the island (which isn't explained, although easily imagined), gets a map off Flint directly and thus begins the TI adventure with Jim Hawkins.
In a way it kind-of spoiled things for me, as I figured Madi was the 'woman of African descent' to whom the future LJS was married and thus was not going to die in this.
In fact, Billy says in TI that Flint gave him the map as he lay dying in Savannah, which is where they said the secret prison plantation was in BS. Flint supposedly drank himself to death in TI, so presumably Thomas eventually passes away and he descends into rum-tastic alcoholism, or something?
Either way, lots of nice little touches as well as the glaringly obvious ones.

Could have easily got another couple of series out of it I reckon.
A lot of that is the connection to the real history, which could indeed be the subject of a new Black Sails season but is totally separate to Flint's story.
I rather liked how they incorporated real events (with reasonable accuracy) into this.

Pretty intense season overall and liked the series, wonder where to get my swashbuckling fix now.
Have you seen Crossbones, with Richard Coyle and John Malkovich?

So many possibilities for spin offs albeit most leading to nasty endings. Some nasty endings for some in the series, Rogers should have suffered more IMO.
They could now remake TI in the same mould and explain why Silver didn't settle down.
Historically it seems Bonny has a long life but little known of it, so that could be explored alongside the TI story.
Andi.

Started watching this recently and now just moved on to Season 3. Really enjoying it so far. Some of the language and attention to detail in the naval action sequences is nice to see.
