Yeah, I actually regret buying mine now without having a 4K/HDR TV. I cannot see any difference in boost mode or with super sampling. Curse my stupid lack of self control. :D
 
I read somewhere that Microsoft wanted to focus purely on showcasing games at E3 this year, so it might well be true they do an earlier console reveal event so they can fully concentrate on games come E3

They'll be waiting on the custom chip, maybe better yields etc and finalising the finer details.

With the PS4 Pro the 480/470 size chip was ready to go but Scorpio's 6TF chip is even more custom and would be gleaned from the Vega arch. This is just conjecture but would make sense.

You have to think if they can show the console then everything but the insides must be ready. They'll know exactly what it's going to be and have prototypes and dev kits (based on PC's) all ready.

Can't wait to see what it can do.
 
If it's good enough then it might be time to splash the cash on a 65 inch 4K OLED TV. As finding 60 inch OLED is near impossible :(

You're doing it wrong, man maths mean you can now justify buying a large 4k tv to show what it can do. Also if it has to be justifying to a partner throwing in future-proof is always a good idea:p.
 
Thats ridiculous, altho after only having the 'base' version of forza the amount of advertised they hammer you with to buy dlc is disgusting. Pretty much every loading screen said buy dlc.

Its being rumored there might be something official actually this week.
 
There are two theories floating about
1) MS got wind that Digital Foundry had obtained leaked specs or something about the console which showed the console running at less than the 6Tflops. Apparently a software development kit update in June will unleash the full power. So a sort of damage control.

2) MS are supremely confident that Scorpio will do what they say and are happy to let DF investigate the console. DF are the best site for tech analysis these days.
