No point joining a competition unless you intend to win. If that means 5000 miles of specifically coasting down hills and tailgating lorries, then Housey will do it.

I might even get towed to victory. Imagine, a v10 5.2L doing 5000 mpg with still a gallon left in the tank!!

Need to stick with pics of trip computer otherwise I wouldn't be doing anything else except from updating the table.

That is the computer. BMWs have two, one is the trip computer (for trips) and the other is manual which is what I've posted. Currently that's my average over 11500 miles of driving, I can post a trip computer picture of 900+mpg if you're interested in something completely irrelevant.

Trip 2 showing 37MPG over 22,000 miles in 20 months from a 163bhp 2.0 TDI. I should really learn to drive more economically...

I averaged 26.4 over 15,000 miles in my S3, but fuel was cheaper 2 years ago :p

Cars only done 3800 miles

This trip was set when I got the van at christmas, clocked over 5k a couple of weeks ago.

Milage has been a good mix of town and motorway driving with various weights in the back, it actually returns a better mpg at a steady 50-60mph on A roads.
It was 41.6mpg for ages but a couple of weeks with about 15 miles a day dropped it a bit.

I'll get a pic in the morning. 45.1 mpg, 2013 F31 BMW 330D Touring with the 8 speed auto.

If I could be bothered to drive the most economical route on my daily commute, and consistently drive economically, it would definitely be higher.

Added thanks - I think I might also add the average speed

I'm only on 3600 miles, it's taken me just under a year to get to that. May be a while until I get to 5k. Doubt I'd win anyway :p
