Xbox Scorpio

it still needs more exclusive games.
Sure does. As much as this is a much better upgrade than the PS4 Pro there's just not enough exclusives to make me want to upgrade. Hopefully we'll see some new stuff at E3. And I want actual NEW games, not more Gears, Forza or Halo.

It needs to be £399 or else will be dead in the water, and i fully expect it to be £399.

Looks promising from what ive seen, running Forza at 4K with 40% GPU capacity spare and sone in two days.

Wonder why they have allocated 4GB to the OS though seems overkill.

Would be all over this but MS games library seems severely lacking when compared to PlayStation, and with having a PC only want a single console. Hopefully they surprise at e3.

There is no way this console is coming in under £400. It's going to be a really tough sell as I imagine it'll be £475-£550. It's got some really good spec in there, 60fps 4k will demand a huge premium.

Cant see why it cant come in at £399 considering its a beefed up version of the PS4 pro, which will be a year old by the time Scorpio is released and retails at £320-£350.

Still using the jaguar CPU, a better GPU and 4GB more VRAM than the pro. I think the APU size is similar.

Its not really the same as the Jaguar though, as the clocks they are getting from it where not possible on the original.
Plis everything else with the GPU etc, I would say 499 is the best cheap price.
Unless MS heavy subsidise the machines.

I was abit underwhelmed for all the talk they gave I expected more. Tbh Forza at 4k would be very nice but racing games at that res are allot easier than say an open world game or fps. As others have said Microsoft issues has been games for 5 years now, it all stems from 360 back end of it's life they just gave up with new ip. If at e3 it's again it's more Forza, gears etc I'm out as all that's on my Xbox one s and pc

I can't see it retailing at £499. It's looking like a Xmas time release date, by then i expect the ps4 pro will be £299 and with Uncharted: the lost legacy probably available by then and the last of of us 2 maybe looking at a 2018 release date, Microsoft can't afford to put people off

It's a premium product which will come at a premium price. It's not aimed at the Xmas market more towards the enthusiast. It won't be cheap.

Are there any decent Xbox One exclusives scheduled for this year? I am going to go 4K and upgrade my PS4 later in the year, but at the moment the prospect of giving up Horizon Zero Dawn alone is putting me off the Xbox.

Not to mention TLOU2! I've not played Uncharted 4 yet either, or the Last Guardian....

100% this. Has to be around £450-550 mark. It would easily sell at £499. To buy a pc equivalent would cost around £550+.

The PS4 pro CPU (portion of the APU) is still Jaguar based and runs at 2.1Ghz (up from 1.6Ghz on the PS4). It isn't out of the realms of possibility to get another 300Mhz out of it.

Seems to be a beefed up PS4 Pro in many respects. Nothing wrong with that as long as there is the game library to take advantage of it.

I will no doubt to what I have done with my PS4 Pro. Replace my primary console and wait for the "killer games" to replace my secondary.

There is that pirate ship game coming soon but that looks a bit rubbish from what Ive seen, but who know's. The last exclusive I bought on my Xbox was Horizon 3.

Hope they have some fancy new titles announced at E3.

All this spec talk bores me silly, I just want decent games, could not care less which console has better specs.

They need E3 to be games games games. New exciting ip is needed, it really is that simple.

Have a good e3 and this thing sells, don't back up the hardware with games and it will have a rough time.

I'm expecting it to come in around the £400/450 mark. MS pro gear is sold at a premium price I can't see that changing.

There's no way you could even build a pc that was capable of 4k@60fps for a few select titles under 1k. This is a premium product, Microsoft already has their sites set on the high end market, there is zero chance this will come in under £400. Like I said above, you'll have change from £500.

What did the the xb1 launch at?

Have I missed something or is this still not going to be proper 4K but some kind of makeshift 4K like PS4 pro?

I thought even Titan XP's were struggling to get 4K at 60fps?
