0:08 to 0:09 is 1 second, the pug might have been doing over 50 but the fact is that those cars hardly come with powerful brakes, he did react aka horn and brakes but the morgan is 100% at fault for pulling out, all the pug could do was slam the brakes and pray.

Bang on. Add in the fact that it's clearly not a petrolhead's car and you've potentially just added another second or two of "OMGWTFDOIDO" before dropping anchor and you have a recipe for disaster. The way the Morgan pulled off (foot flat? Dunno) alludes to the fact that the driver might've seen the pug approaching and thought he'd sprint off over the horizon because SPORTSCAR and forgot that his car is made of wood and it's not 1933 any more.

This is the Morgan's fault. Simple as that.

Nope... I've reviewed again.

Either the Pug's brakes were made of chocolate (or maybe even liquorice). Or the Pug driver simply wasnt paying attention. The braking seemed so late.

Either way... The whiplash must have been brutal!

It's only one second between the Morgan pulling out and the horn sounding.

I know when I take emergency action I'm braking before I'm faffing about with the horn so I don't see how the Pug was slow in reacting.

Lol pug's fault my arse. If he did a full emergency stop, I'm surprised the ABS didn't kick in, but I doubt a collision was avoidable.

Have to disagree there.... From that point of view it looks as though the Pug had plenty of time to slow down.

The highway code is simple, you do not pull out on another vehicle if you believe it will cause that vehicle to have to slow down, brake or take avoiding action.

Irrelevant or not if the Pug could have braked harder, the Morgan was in the wrong, never ever pull out on someone if by doing so means your going to cause them to have to take action to avoid you.

Idiot Morgan driver called the Pug's bluff and the Pug was not bluffing and as such caused an accident where Police were a witness and Morgan was 100% at fault.

It's the Morgans fault, but this is OCUK. People will take a stupid standpoint and try to justify it, whilst the world gets on with living in reality.

Similar thing happened to me one day after I passed my test. Black Audi A6 pulled out like that in the dark with no lights on. Luckily there was plenty of drainage so I could take avoiding action otherwise I would have gone up his back side. Ironically I was driving a Pug too although its older brother the 306.

I think this happens a lot lately, people are happy to pull out on you and expect you to brake hard for them. Even worse when there was nowt behind you as well.

It seems quite a common thing to see accident vids from car show car parks where people line up to watch cars power away.

Of course it's the Morgans fault, there's no doubt about that. I'm just saying that it seemed like the Pug could have avoided the accident, with a good dose of assumption given we can't see the lead up to the collision in the video.
