Went there once. It was like driving through a third-world slum. I kept my doors locked.
Don't exaggerate just for the sake of following the crowd in here, it's not that bad at all, people need to get a grip.

Same in most big cities, I woudln't live in parts of Glasgow without the same belief in Celtic, IrnBru and Bucky etc.to be fair it is worth considering that there are some areas of Birmingham that you'll probably not want to live in unless you subscribe to a particular belief system

The point being there's plenty of bits of plenty of cities where you wouldn't want to be if you didn't subscribe to certain locally popular things. The given example with Glasgow was supporting Celtic on the wrong street, but I'm sure there's bits of Birmingham where making your support of, say, Aston Villa, known is a great way to win a trip to the dentist. The thread is about Birmingham though I'm not sure what relevance Glasgow is?

Yes, but it's not an unreasonable parallel, is it? Why single out Birmingham? I wouldn't want to live in Moss Side or Toxteth or Brixton (or wherever in London is a dump just now) either.well yes - but the thread isn't about many cities it is about Birmingham

Ok, fine, but some posters seem intent on portraying Birmingham as an absolute hellhole when the truth is most cities have their good bits and their bad bits.Because the thread is literally about Birmingham! Seriously????

Pretty much. Having also lived in Glasgow I can attest to this.Ok, fine, but some posters seem intent on portraying Birmingham as an absolute hellhole when the truth is most cities have their good bits and their bad bits.

The drivers in Birmingham are mostly selfish. But otherwise it's a bit alright.
