Sorry, I'm half asleep. So, they need 326 for a majority, leaving 324 in opposition. If there is only 317 in opposition she only needs 319 seats.

Or am I adding it up wrong?
650 seats in HoC. If the 7 Sinn Fein IRA don't take up their seats that means there's 643 MPs. To get a majority in that case you'd need 322 MPs, though technically you still need 326 as SF have the right to take their seats.

Well the Conservatives really **** the bed on this one.

If anything this has the potential (and I do mean potential, assuming it doesn't turn into a giant round of butt****ery) to be a good result for the country as a whole. No party has enough power to push through their more extreme ideas, we arrive at some sort of middleground that sees sensible compromise for the benefit of most... who am I kidding, let the circus begin.

Whoever voted for Corbyn shame on you!!

He's a weak leader determined to raid the bank and borrow up to 250 billion on top of his 'costed' manifesto.

Did we learn nothing from the last Labour government?
You'd rather the country voted for an enemy of human rights and privacy?

May gambled, May lost, and Labour didn't get back into power. I couldn't be happier.

Yep, to form a minority government you don't need a formal coalition but you still need the support of other parties to get you past 326 and be in a position to form a government. Not possible for Labour.

Actually it is. Unlikely as in order to get your budget through you would need some Tory MPs to vote for you but still technically possible.

So Labour LOSE the election and corbyn fist pumps the air waving at the crowd like hes won it :p:p:p:D

you lost mate LOL

You need to look at the raw numbers though. Massive massive gains to Labour. The UK map is distorted as although it shows lots of blue, the densely populated key cities have gone red including London.

Yes dont vote for an alternative government that is Tory in everything but name.

It's OK. His plan was to leave a note saying "there's no more money".

thats the biggest shock to me! I did not expect london or city of london to go red.

Surrey was expected to be blue, I work in surrey and the number of cons flags around is mental.

As disappointed as I am with the result, and I'm not overly pleased with May but vastly prefer her to Corbyn...... I cant help but smile at how ridiculous the country must look to the EU :D
