I don't think May will step down. I think She'll lead a minority government supported by votes from the DUP (not a coalition).
I think we'll see a leadership challenge within 6 months though.
Saying that though my track record over the last couple of days has not been very good. I said Cons would get a 20 seat majority........

I know, it's quite pathetic.
What absolute chaos this Brexit voted has caused with a shockingly run campaign that was literally run on lies and misinformation. With a Tory Government that had zero plan when Brexit actually won.
As much as I think Corbyn is out of his depth, this surge in Labour votes can only be good for the Country. Keeping the Tories in check and steering as away from a suicidal hard Brexit.

she saw it as an easy win and to finally do what the Tories actually want with no EU interference and a massive majority to push through all their extreme ideology that has been contained until now.

The Conservatives haven't done badly, in fact in terms of votes and percentage votes it's the best since 1992. The difference is the second party has got a historically unusually high proportion of the vote at 40%. There is little precedent for such a large second place vote in the last 40 years. Callaghan in 1979 was 36.9%.
It is still a terrible and humiliating loss for Theresa May but not because the Conservative vote was poor.

That would have made it worse, don't forget the brexit polls weren't wrong about public opinion they were wrong about how many remain voters would actually show up, if she had kept it more about Brexit she would have lost even more votes.
And 72% turnout for the 18-25 demographic! Incredible from young folks - almost brings a tear to the eye, to be honest.

Its the customs union mainly for me we won't be able to trade outside the EU. Maybe parliament should decide revoking Article 50 even though against will as people may understand the reasons if these facts are understood by public more. I for one would rather that as a leaver than having the EU laugh at us for years to come.

Won't last unless Labour can dangle the same carrots next election.
My best friend's girlfriend is doing a PHD in Edinburgh, and since Brexit, I've never seen so much interest in politics from people of that age,
I agree - making our own trade deals was one of the big advantages of not being in the EU. I don't see any advantages to leaving the EU but remaining in the Single Market or Customs Union.

probably because young folks are the ones who are going to get the most shafted by the 1984 esque internet plans the conservatives have, and corbyn pledging to kill off uni fee's is a really big one considering the amount of student debt people rack up just to get a damned education.
All parties better start handing some juice to the young. they're a democratic force now.
