What PC games are you playing?

Saw I had Rust in my steam list and don't remember buying it lol

Loaded it up today and spent the whole afternoon dying lots ha!

Vampire the Masquerade: Bloodlines after wanting to play it everytime i see it on a sale etc but never went for it until a chap on here really sung its praises as being a true hidden gem and OMG do i agree.

Yes its Janky and a bit rough around the edges but it does so much right. The writing is amazing especially for a 2004 game. I get a feeling this could also warrant multiple playthroughs. Visually it's certainly playable, it's the source engine so that stuff seems to age fairly well imo

Ha. Glad you're enjoying it. What class did you go for?

its great! I'm not 100% sure on if killing people in missions (bad guys) will impact me negatively? I'm trying not to but had to get out of some sticky situations! love the hacking etc too, just looking through computers for clues and so on. in an age of hand holding games, this is refreshing. Went with Brujah, they seemed like an all rounder or a bit more of a beginner friendly clan.

Ive just moved on to Downtown.

You can kill anyone who attacks you without consequence - it's only if you kill or completely drain civilians that you will lose masquerade points so get slaughtering! Yeah I really enjoyed searching through the computers too, there is something very satisfying about it - even the old school typing noises too. Downtown already - you'll have had the pleasure of meeting Jeannette and her sister then... and the haunted mansion that was one of my favourite missions.

Taking a break from the Assassins Creed marathon as I'm finding Revelations really hard going.

Tried PUBG last night, got stomped on a lot and decided it wasn't for me.

Now on Far Cry 3. Really enjoying the gameplay. When it was released way back when I looked at screens and a couple of videos and decided it was dull. And having half-finished FC2 it didn't look any better. But everywhere I turn there is something new/interesting to do. Its amazing in scale and polish, but a terrible port for the PC. The micro stutter is making my eyes bleed.

It's a great, but punishing game. Solo play is possible but tough. I'd recommend trying a low population server at first.

If you want to team up, and have a mic, hit me up on trust.

I bought MGS 5 Phantom Pain a while back in the sale for 17 quid. Just tried to get some game time out for it for the 3rd time i think. How people on steam metacritic etc have given it good reviews ill never know. Ive been a MGS fan over the years, but this is appalling. The controls are awful. Its literally the same rubbish missions in the same dull setting. What the hell gave them the idea of the base building ill never know. I certainly wont be giving it anymore of my time. I feel robbed of 17 quid in the sale lol. I would probably say its one of the worse games ive ever played.

Yeah, MGS3 was one of my favourite all time games, 4 wasn't quite as good imo, and 5 was just a let down.

It wasn't too bad if you googled which missions led to the story being progressed, meaning you could skip a fair bit of it, but even then, the important missions still felt boring. The desert setting just felt lifeless.

Physconauts! Found this little gem after a recommendation from someone on the GOG forums. Whilst this game is over 10 years old now it still looks and plays great (and another old game that supports 3440x1440 resolution without issue). Completely original - evil dentists harbouring brains and setting squirrels on fire anyone?! Really funny and charming and only £1.75 on Green Man Gaming just now...

Got this in a Double Fine bundle some time ago but haven't gotten around to playing yet. I've heard great things.

Not really got any gaming time currently, but will put it on the priority list for when I do

Wow, really? I loved both of them, and I'm struggling badly to get into any games at the moment.

It is everything I hate in gaming all put in to one game. I know it is popular, but I can't stand it. I have uninstalled it after 2 hours.

The first hour of the game was basically just me holding down up whilst Lara slowly walked forward and a cutscene plays. The gameplay is atrocious....you can't walk 2 yards without the game taking control away from you for Lara to stumble over or fall down something etc. Most of the time you don't even control the camera. The game takes every possible chance to take freedom away from you...if the developers hate gameplay so much they should have just made a Tell-Tale like game...The game doesn't even let you control when you sneak/crouch, it does it for you!

I liken it to something like a Michael Bay movie...so many action set pieces but with no drama it becomes incredibly boring.

I just watched latest 'Game Maker's Toolkit' on youtube, Mark Brown. Its a cool series of ten minute videos talking about game design and the latest one is about ''The Mechanics of Movement' and uses tomb raider, the difference between the first ones and the latest ones, exactly this - highlighting how easy something like a dangerous jump is now, you just run off the ledge and the game does the rest. before you had to aim, run, time it, button to grab & hold on the ledge, then pull up etc.

Playing through dishonoured, finally got around to it.

I've got a lot of games on my list but being over 30 now, I have about 6-8 hours a week tops gaming time, I'm struggling.
