CFD code that isn't paralleized? Is it experimental or something?

What Mobo did you go for? I can't stand the "gaming" advertising and flashy LED boards

Let us know how that Mobo handles and the CPU. Some temps recorded at stock during your compiling would be really helpful as well

Because overclocking is out of the question by using that, as it will struggle in these warm days even at stock speeds.

IMHO Predator 360 should be the absolute minimum on Skylake-X, assuming someone can find one.

We work with overlapping grids. You generate a background static grid
and a body fitted overlapping one for the moving object. Pressure-velocity
coupling is done with the SIMPLE algorithm. Two way fluid-solid interaction
is solved with a partitioned approach and coupled with a Picard
a Picard iteration algorithm. The code is written in C++.

On a CPU that consumes 460W on it's own under very heavy load? No. Custom watercooling only.

Guessing your trying to find a more efficient way to solve for objects that are moving?

Undervolt and downclock, even though I guess that would go against the entire point of getting one.

this may not the case, but all the reviews was using ASUS motherboards & Intel claim they not seen this high CPU wattage. may find out that BIOS updates fix it.
as some reviews are seeing 1.4V+ on their chips at stock which is very odd

will see, but Temp/wattage may be fine on Release, (i would hope anyway)

if not x299 i wont be buying it will destroy my Slient build...

I couldn't remember if it's been said. I know Vega gaming launch is end of July at Siggraph.

Epyc is released in July, Alienware release their PC in July. with Threadripper so around end July beginning of Aug

Our hosts sell a very good 360 https://www.overclockers.co.uk/ocuk...-liquid-cooling-upgrade-bundle-bu-098-tl.html I have one on my setup and temps are never an issue even when the fans are set to silence in the bios. Could well be an option for a Skylake-X setup as well.
