PLAYERUNKNOWN'S BATTLEGROUNDS - Thread

The last couple of patches have done wonders for performance, lets home we see performance gains in the next patch.
The best fix being that cars work without pressing F about a million times.

Came across first cheater today, just sniping people miles away with a scar and pistol.
We're they consistently hitting their target?
I've occasionally managed to snipe with a Scar/M416 at a fair distance (seeing just a tiny dot int he distance), even using a red dot.

I swear sometimes I feel I'm getting better at this game, got like 5 chicken dinners from Sat-Monday but then the last 2 days I've pretty much just been licking windows, not been able to hit ****. Not sure if it's my mouses sensitivity or what. Got a new PC so weird going from 30 fps if I'm lucky with everything on crusty settings to 60-90 constant on Ultra so could be re getting used that but still... wish I was better.

Like some other people i played my first few games. I was a bit skeptical on all the praise it was receiving but after 2 evening i am hooked.
I even managed to get down to the last 2 last night only to screw it up by accidentally putting my guns away instead of going prone

Is anyone able to clear up how to aim down sights, is it double right click or is it click then hold? seems to work fine one time then another it flicks to ADS then goes back to hip fire.

Just tap the right mouse button once to toggle aiming down the sights, then tap it again to switch back to normal viewing. :)

Also, if you have a scope (4x, 8x or 15x) don't forget to use Page Up and Page Down to change the zeroing distance so that you don't have to aim above your targets as much when they're further away.

Rightly or wrongly because the armour rating dropped when I switched to his damaged Lv3 armour.
The 3 was damaged down to 180 and the 2 was 200.

Wanted to pick up on this, I think that even with lower durability, the level 3 would have still been a better choice. Firstly, IIRC a lvl3 armor at 1 durability still absorbs as much damage as a lvl3 at full durability, but will then break. Secondly, using the stats here - the math (feel free to correct me here) is still in favour of the damaged lvl3:

Code:
                    Level 2 Level 3
Damage Reduction 40% 55%
Durability 220 250

AKM 48 DMG/Chest Shot

Shots Level 2 Level 3
1 28.8 21.6
2 57.6 43.2
3 86.4 64.8
4 115.2 86.4
5 144 108
Start 200 180
End 56 72

I didn't even know that was a thing, thanks for the tip :)

Interesting, I didn't realise there was that much too it. Cheers. :)

Same, winds me up playing with @Thekwango because he keeps shutting all the doors, never know where has been looted!
ah @Boycey0211 my young padawan, you have much to learn.......

closing doors early in the game has a double effect - if you are inside and someone comes along you will hear them coming in. more importantly though is that it slows down the players behind you as they will (likely) stop to check the buildings. example being our game last night - we would never have caught those 2 in front of us had they closed the doors behind them on the buildings they looted. instead we could see the open doors so ignored those buildings and kept going - they basically left us a trail of breadcrumbs.
getting closer to the end game I usually don't bother though as there's next to no point as it's more a free for all

I find it best to hedge my bets and just run in blindly anyway :D.

and we know how that usually ends up! :p

My favorite thing in this game is dropping at the flats of Yas and going to the bottom of a puzzle building, dropping a pain killer and something else in the corner of the bathroom then hiding behind the door, when they come through to loot... ;)

Ahhhh but we would have noticed the lack of loot! Plus if they hadn't run out right in front of us we'd never have seen them. If they had been sensible and gone to ground on that hill they would have smashed both of us, they never even looked back running over a field, and neither of us had a long range weapon. Still that was an epic two kills by you.
