PLAYERUNKNOWN'S BATTLEGROUNDS - Thread

Also, if you have a scope (4x, 8x or 15x) don't forget to use Page Up and Page Down to change the zeroing distance so that you don't have to aim above your targets as much when they're further away.

Wtf is this?
Do explain more as I had no idea this was even a thing!

VSS is a joke weapon though, epic troll from the devs :D

My point was that any weapon i've ever put an 8x on hits on the crosshair, regardless of the range or using pgup/down to alter it. I'm talking sub 500 metre ranges tho.

Had another two games last night solo, so much fun. Managed to finally get a Kar98 with 8x scope and spent a while stalking others and waiting for the headshot. Lasted until I was no.8 and managed to die trying to run back into the final zone!

there is bullet drop just not much.
Yeh thats what i mean by not real, sometimes you should be aiming feet above there heads, only like a pixel in this game, guess they have to make it easy for the masses, otherwise players would be wondering whats going on, guess im to use to Arma 3.

Has anyone else tried the zombie mode?
I've only played as a zombie and it's a very different experience, but I did quite enjoyed it. I hope it's something they develop more, not to replace the current/main mode, but just as another option.

When you use a scope it defaults to aiming at targets within 100m, so the central marker of the crosshair is aiming directly at the target within 100m.
When you push Page Up, it adjusts to 200m, 300m or higher so that in theory when you have the mark on your target the bullet will usually hit that spot within the specified distance band (within each white square from you on the map)

I haven't put copious amounts of time into testing the bullet drop of gun & scope combinations, I mostly use the SKS with a 4x.
With that gun, I'd say anything sub 300m isn't worth adjusting (if a target is within 3 small white squares of the map from you); from my experience that's the sweet spot for when to start adjusting the 4x scope.

Ah 300+ hours fair enough.

What do you think it needs to keep your interest.... Maps?

For me right now it's just maps, the game is excellent, I have no complaints, i'm just played out on this particular map. As I hinted at, we need more varied end zones, in 300 hours i've been in 4 games end at any coast.

I'd like some variation on game types but I know that's in the works, can't wait for zombie/horde mode, something like 95 vs 5 will be a lot of fun, kind of like L4D but with people controlling the zombies.

For a zombie mode, I'd want vehicles turned off as it makes it too easy to win when you can just run them all down.
It'd be nice if they could arrange it for the zombies to start at random locations on the map so the 'live' players drop from the plane without a clue where the zombies will be.

SM64 did a nice destruction derby custom server with just cars and nades, was mayhem.

There are a lot of customisable options and I think on the zombie servers, vehicles are turned off.
