Yea, no big deal right, why worry about it when you can just buy 4 every time a new one comes out![]()
If performance is a requirement, why wouldn't you?
Please remember that any mention of competitors, hinting at competitors or offering to provide details of competitors will result in an account suspension. The full rules can be found under the 'Terms and Rules' link in the bottom right corner of your screen. Just don't mention competitors in any way, shape or form and you'll be OK.

You do realize mantle evolved into vulkan....

I've had more than 1 a year I think. Fairly frequent. The last time Steam gave me the survey was when I had a GTX 980 years ago. :/
Anyone know the frequency at which the survey is sent out?
Yep, AMD had to get rid of it (the now Vulkan) because no one was interested in it, and Nvidia also turned it down, so when Kronos took it, and Nvidia decided to now support it, it came back from the dead, as massive interest now, and the developers all over it, like flys around a cows arse!
All those AMD console games, whats the first thing you see when you boot them up on the PC ?
Yep, thats right, its this :-
One big one, money. If performance is a requirement, why wouldn't you?
8 games used Mantle so far from no interest.
Well at some point you need to start pushing new technologies and methods of doing things. But im certainly not the one to say when it is the right time. Perhaps the required investment to get dx11 spotless for AMD is just to much? that said my rx 480 had no issues with the dx11 games that i played. Was a awesome card for the price i paid.

8 games used Mantle so far from no interest. The Vulkan uptake on PC is far slower compared to Mantle now that the mighty Nvidia are involved. I hope Vulkan goes on to do good things and if it does it's got nothing to do with NV and all to do with those who started Mantle and those who polished it up to be Vulkan (if Nvidia are or were involved in it then same goes for them).
- Battlefield 4.
- Battlefield Hardline.
- Thief.
- Star Citizen.( Not 100% on this but it was on the list)
- Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare.
- Civilization: Beyond Earth.
- Dragon Age: Inquisition.
- Sniper Elite III.
Sounds like placebo effect. Your claiming better latency but the frame rates don't reflect that. If you are claiming no improvement in frame rate can result in a perceived difference in frame latency then you clearly dont understand the relationship between the two.
if you have a frame latency line that's spiking up and down but averages out to 16,6ms vs a nicely tight line with only minor deviation that also averages 16,6ms then you are going to feel the difference.
One big one, money.
If money was not an issue I would like a Lambo also. But alas one must prioritise things, graphics cards are nice, but not exactly on the top of my list
Besides my post was just a joke for Kaapstad who usually always buys 4 of every new top end card, he even purchased 4 RX 480's which were not even top end cards![]()
Placebo!This..
Andy knows dam well I have tested this even way back to mantle. Even created threads on here with results so he has a dam cheeck to say I don't understand what I seeing/feeling.
It's funny because almost everyone at the time of Mantle and even close friends to this day/people I speak with say they even notice a difference between APIs.
All those who were told to buy AMDs cards for Dx12, they must laughing their bloody asses off now at the sheer amount of games they got, lucky ********![]()
Ark survival evolved was supposed to get a DX12 patch then nvidia decided to step in and sponsor them and naff all been said about DX12 since.

Placebo!
nope, not yet, AMD chucked money at them to do advertising and giveaways but its still running DX11 only - the plan for "launch" is to have vulkan up and running and to then phase out DX11, but that could all still be years away
That almost everyone I know says they notice a difference? Lool Okay
Want more Proof? Here is a GTX 970 with Hitman getting better Frame Latency = a smoother gaming experiance. Take a look at the bottom left!!! And its this why time and time again I have said I will never used Benchmarks without footage and proper tools to showcase this.

What makes the above even funnier is that the xbox one had async on day 1 so it was purposely removed for the PC version
