You mean freshly shot crows and seagull's with a bit of cat thrown in for extra spice.

Someone was out shooting at seagulls near me last night - strange sounding shots guessing it was .22LR or similar but kind of odd fizzing sound to the discharge.

This was said well before the FE release. 2 months ago to be exact. He done a question and answer.

Yeah I know but how anyone with experience in the graphics industry couldn't see how that would unfold I can't get my head around - its like handing out chocolate to a bunch of toddlers and then saying "I'm going to leave the room for 15 minutes none of you eat any of it".

Those that won't listen don't learn.
Ignorance is bliss eh?

Imagine you were having an intelligent discussion with like minded individuals. Then a over the hill chimpanzee decides to interrupt the conversation every few minutes, throwing around excrement and doing his best to get noticed and drum up anger.

Now imagine there is a magic button that can instantly delete that grey haired crazy chimpanzee from existence, allowing you to continue the discussion without any interruption/baiting.

I know I'd press the button, my forum browsing days are far more enjoyable now I don't even see posts that quote someone I've ignored :)

Ohh i agree it's far from ideal. I still thought the FE would be faster than it is. I do think there is something a miss or it's just another fine wine card that will get faster as it's new architecture is used more in the future.

Interesting how Raja says the FE "will support the RX driver". There is no RX and no RX driver available yet. That probably explains why there is no difference between the FE in gaming or pro mode.

Could be. I guess we will just have to wait and see. I do think there will be a proper gaming driver released with the RX card that we are not seeing now. It could very well explain why Vega is pretty much the same clock for clock as Fury X atm. Still plenty to look forward to as there are unknowns but i believe faster than 1080 but can't see ti performance expect maybe in the likes of doom as Fury x ain't to much slower in that game compared to 1080.

Not sure if this has been noted before, but assuming he isn't stretching the truth Raja says

RK: Consumer RX will be much better optimized for all the top gaming titles and flavors of RX Vega will actually be faster than Frontier version!

He uses the plural rather than singular. So if he isn't stretching the truth then there will be at least 2 SKUs of RX vega that are faster than the frontier edition.

That's unfair on chimpanzees, I think.
I don't see anyone ****-posting in this thread?

I see a couple people expressing significant doubts, and I see a very vocal subset of posters trying to silence all doubts and perceived criticisms of AMD. There's even people applauding AMD's marketing and handling of the FE release, which is bizarro. Most of us agree that could be better, regardless.

The people being downright insulting are the ones waving the flag for AMD, trying to shut down any alternative viewpoint.

There are 244 pages to look through, friend :)

I'm sorry what? You clearly mixed up your forums because nobody here has done that.

I would like raja to shave his beard on stage at the capsaicin event. then turn around and be like.

"i said i wouldn't shave my beard untill a certain moment, well here it is!"

then reveal RX vega in all its glory. lights go low, dem beats start and everything turns into a rave.

I get that, Personally I don't let other's negativity effect me in that way, especially when it's nothing to do with me, And that's the silliest bit, Why on Earth would someone keep posting rude derogatory comments simply because someone else has a different point of view to them? I'm glad I'll no longer need to put up with it.

I meant in general, and I assumed Dave did too (apologies if I assumed incorrectly Dave) as he said his browsing experience had improved. However, as has been pointed out, this is a big thread, and there has been plenty of **** posting going on, albeit from a small minority. And yeah... waaay too many commas in this post.

lol @ "I'm not interested in the performance...". You can bet your bottom dollar that you would be interested in the competitors performance sir if it made you feel better.

But anyway.... I'm trying not to get drawn into how RX Vega will perform as something just doesn't seem right. Hopefully it is drivers/features not activated/playing up, and not an architectural blunder.
