The 1800X just runs a premium that I don't think is warranted on a mainstream platform is all. The marginal performance difference between the speeds and reduced hassle factors etc. do have some value but 120-130 quid is going to deliver real benefit if, for example, invested in a better GPU or going from 16gb to 32gb etc.
If you have the cash why not - though I guess I do have the cash and still didn't think it worth the extra
But then I bought a high end 1080ti so I'm probably not one to talk about diminishing returns
