By all accounts it's correct. I do think if they push 90 we will accept though which will put us years behind again. I do think you can replace Coutinho but it'll cost you a fortune and these owners won't invest any more leaving us with a poor net spend again.

I don't see countinho going at all even if they do push 90, if anything maybe be like suarez give us a year see how we do in champions league if not we'll then can leave following year.
He also wouldn't get played week in week out at barca I don't think.
Plus let's be honest it's not a matter of if we ever sell him its just a matter of when. Barca and Madrid will come calling for him eventually. When he does leave I just hope he leaves on good terms. Quality player who will only improve each season.

Neymar is probably all talk for a new contract plus they play differently so I can't see it. I do think as always was only a matter of time till they came calling
Interesting turn of events in a way , as Southampton and Leipzig will point out that they are entirely legit in refusing to sell their star players to Liverpool and that Liverpool should accept that because Liverpool themselves refuse to sell their star player to Barcelona.
Yeah some of our fans are very salty about it all, every club can refuse and should do so if they feel needed to. I think only time it can be forced is by the players which in turn usual leaves them on bad terms with parent club/fans forcing a sale.
I think clubs will sell less this window in general due to the transfer fee being bat **** insane. Much harder to replace players with known quality now than before, English sides do tend to pay more too just due to vast amount of money we get from TV etc compared to other leagues

Makes things a touch more difficult though that Klopp has said that Coutinho is not for sale at any price because "we are not a selling club". That would suggest to Southampton and Leipzig that they are selling clubs if they sell Van Dijk or Keita to us.

With it being silly season, I would have expected the offer for Coutinho to be significantly higher consdiering clubs are demanding 70 mil for what i would consider to be players not of the same pedigree.
