3 year warranty as well.

Seller is xsonly who has monster good feedback.

Good deal? Similar one on the outlet is £100 more.

Seller advised they also have them on their website. Same model is £1499. Sorely tempted. Seems like a good price for the spec.

1500quid, 1070 with 3 year warranty...that is a good deal, warranty is expensive. i've been quoted 360 quid for an extra 2 years on top of my existing 1 year.

if its within budget start looking at 1080's with hk processors!

Received my AW17 R4 today. I'm just busy setting it all up. It's awesome I love it so far. Tad heavy but I have a custom laptop tray with bean cushioning so it's all good although I now don't have a great deal of room for my mouse but it's enough and I'm primarily using a pad for games anyway.

Also on the hunt for a 1080 R4 keeping my eyes peeled for a good deal, anyone know the rough lifecycle of this product from a update /r5 point of view? Am i buying at the right time? Happy to hand on until xmas with current laptop if its going to be rewarding

Talks of Volta being ready for Q1 2018, so it's up to you whether it's worth the wait. You could be waiting until March.

Use Intel's Extreme Tuning Utility to undervolt the processor - it'll really help with fan noise, heat and maintaining boost clocks in games. It'll also give you better battery life.

I guess it takes even longer to start seeing these coming up in the outlet store. I think in this case a 1080 machine should last a little while. Will be interesting to see if this Volta update will be more performance or efficiency gains. Hate buying products mid/end of gen

There'll always be something new around the corner. The MAX-Q designs are now arriving, at least in the 15 inch form. Performance seems to be between a 1070 and 1080, but with drastically better acoustic and thermal performance. Might be worth taking a look at. Dell also have a 10% off on their website. It's also worth speccing out the different variations listed (i.e. try upgrading ones with a 1060, then the one with a 1070) - you may find that for some reason that, even though the specs are the same, the price is different (by £200 when I got my 15 R3).

Well im thinking if i get the 1080 it will last a little longer with 16 or 32gb ram, 16 is fine for now can always upgrade that later. Pretty sure i have my heart set on a 17 inch model. Just want a laptop thats going to play high settings for a good couple of years. I tend to get bored and upgrade every 2/3 years anyway

Hey guys!

Just moved over to the dark side. Picked this up on Ebay at auction (£840) (Critique the price by all means!) and received 4 days ago. Still 6 months warranty with Dell which the seller kindly transferred over. Specs are

I7 6820 (Overclocked to 4.1GHZ)
16GB Ram
512GB NVME SSD
1TB Sata
980M 8GB
17.3 Inch 4K Screen 400 Nits! Stunning

Anyway I love this machine. Anyone want to make sure my overclock results below look OK? That would be a great help.

I have that laptop with the 4K screen also and it runs great at 4K with everything I throw at it. GTA V maxed out settings at 1080p is what I run so I get a high frame rate.
