Violent protests London

Just looks like these people are rioting because the police won't leave them alone to do their crime in peace tbh.

Maybe we should take the Philippines approach to drug dealers. Then they might have something to moan about.

It would certainly stir things up if the key protestors were found hanging from tower bridge in the morning :s

some very dodgy shooting there, lucky no one in the surrounding houses was hit

Shooting gets very dodgy very quickly when your life is on the line I would imagine, your immediate concerns are 1) not dying 2) stopping the person who is trying to kill you. They aren't special forces, this is probably their first time in a fire fight, the training they get is nothing compared to what they ought to

Don't be soft. Is that the only comment you could come up with? Guess you'd have head shot him in a millisecond, before he even got a shot off...

I'm not being soft, I'm being critical.

UK cops seem to generally deal with armed incidents with rather minimal shots fired and without bullets flying everywhere into the nearby houses...

You're comparing UK Armed Police to a regular US Cop though, our Armed Police are highly trained, using weapons and responding to gun threats is their main job and they get a lot of money spent to make them good at that, dealing with armed threats is just one of the things a US cop on the beat has to deal with, they don't get nearly as much training with weapons unless they happen to be ex military.

Our Armed Police are basically similar to SWAT teams in America

Then please enlighten me by pointing to a similar situation in the UK, where the officers stopping the car have no reason whasoever to suspect a gun is in the car.

Lots of armed police itt

don't need to be armed police to see that this is comically bad:

one guy was trying to fire one handed while on the radio, then his fat mate moves in from of him, across the line of fire and decides to step away from the cover... oh and for whatever reason he's decided to turn his pistol 90 degrees at this point 'boys in the hood' style

I see the comedy in this post ;)
