Summer Transfer Window 2017/18 - Rumours & Signings

Well this transfer window is very different from what i remember most windows being like. Usually being filled with total ******** to sell papers, and very few signings actually being made. Conversely, even with the Lukaku signing being a bit of a 'will he won't he?' I'm hearing a little bit about a signing happening, and then a few days later it's done!

On the actual signing, I do think Matic is a very good signing for us; a defensive midfielder with a bit of presence about him that isn't Fellaini(ie. always got a yellow card, a bad touch and a poor decision in him). Don't get me wrong, Matic isn't an angel, but a better team with him, even if just because it allows Pogba to roam a bit more :p
 
I think Matic will be a great signing for Man.U. and I hope Bakayoko turns out to be at least as good as we're going to miss him.
 
I think the signing of Matic is a really positive one to be honest. £35 + £5 million. If he lasts like Carrick has, that's 7 years left in the tank.

Matic and Jose have trust in each other, and that's a big element in a Jose setup.

I can see our most potent use of Matic in freeing Pogba to go forwards as part of a Herrera midfield threesome. Herrera pressing game is one of the best on the FPL, so they all have a role to play, Matic directing play, Pogba doing what he did at Juve.

The there's the CL, Matic can help close matches down, I can see Jose going with a Carrick and Matic partnership in the big ones, that's Jose way, might be somewhat boring but he has his method and it can work as past trophies prove.
