Hi All,

Looking for some advice, i currently have a EVGA 980ti Hybrid and i'm going to upgrade to a 1080ti at the end of the month. Problem is which one?

Now i do really like the EVGA Hybrid but i also really like the look and reviews on the Zotac AMP Extreme Core Spectre RGB.

There is only £30 of a difference so just looking for some advice on which one!

Cheers!

I'd personally pay the extra for 2 year more warranty £30 for 2 more years I think is a decent price plus it's gotta higher stock clock speeds if you can't be bothered with OC'ing (although I imagine they're all the same when it comes to OC)

I'm on the lookout for a Ti myself. I want some bling on mine, RGB lighting etc. Will be used for my Rift, gaming and dare I say it, overnight mining. Lol

That's a very good way to put it! Think your right and might be the best option.

Yeah not going to lie the nice lights did draw me in. Shame the Hybrid doesn't have anything like this.

Again, I'd pay the extra for 2 years + warranty and get this - https://www.overclockers.co.uk/zota...s-graphics-card-zt-p10810g-10p-gx-10p-zt.html

Add plus you have the option to downsize on a case if you need

See if i'm going to get the Zotac i'll get the Amp Extreme, prefer the colours and i'm happy with the case size. Bigger the better :)

Not sure, I really wanna see if anyone has the Gigabyte one and see what they think.

Is there much performance difference between any of them?

Best looking for benchmarks, they all seem to differ by a few FPS (talking like 3 or 5) and some OC a little better than others but the margin is so small I don't think it's worth the price difference from £650 to £800

I'm in market for Ti myself, they're all pretty much the same, so I'm waiting for a really great deal before I buy as £650 is still a lot even though I can afford it, once I see one drop to near £600 I'll probably bite

They all pretty much overclock the same amount.

With regards to noise, performance etc then get the cards with the better coolers.

Those cards are the likes of the, Asus Strix, MSI Gaming x, Gigabyte Aorus, EVGA FTW3, Zotac Amp Extreme, palit jetstream etc.

This actually not bad, £150 cheaper.

Any opinions on this card? £150 less might be a better option? Still 3 year warranty.

I've not heard good things about the gigabyte G1 1080Ti's. Reference board and thin cooler (really designed for the 1080) so the G1 is reported as rather noisy (as noisy as reference cooler).

Yeah I was going to wait till Black Friday but i can't see a huge drop in price and they will go fast! Plus i'm extremely impatient :)

Yeah, I was just looking online and agree, quite a lot of comments about it not been a good cooler and noise level. Even Coil Wine.

I really do think if i'm going to be spending this level of money i may as well get the best! I'v been really happy with my 980ti Hybrid and think the best option is the 1080ti Hybrid.

If there is only a couple of FPS difference with the clock speeds then that kinda rules out the Zotac.

I was actually reading this before I put my post up! See i'm not really into the overclocking side, I just plug and play to be honest. What card are you leaning towards?

I want the Gigabyte auros extreme but to be honest I dont want to pay £700 at the begining of the year no problem but not half way through a product cycle, i am happy to pay £600 and could stretch to £650. I like EVGA but they are expensive. Ocuk had speical price on the auros extreme a while back and I did not take it because of waiting for STUPID VEGA and believing the hype and also Ryzen made me believe AMD was back.

I would prefer to buy from OCUK but their price swings wildly and its hard to get a good deal. I can get the auros for just about £710. If I wait 2-3 more months for some reason then I may not even bother with this round of cards and wait for VOLTA. Not worth droping £700 with new card just round the corner.

So waiting for a little while longer to see what special deal come.
