I thought the night king was impervious to fire?
@Washout
Spoiler tag the replies then!!!! Jesus man, why would you even do that instead of just reporting!
eh? the episode has aired now
it isn't too clear, while they seemed to walk through some small flames when attacking the cave Bran was in that could just be seen as them being a bit more badass than the undead types who were standing back from those flames
Ahhh apologies, I misread the post and thought you where referring to next weeks episode.
Dunno if it's already been posted, but did anyone catch Jon Snow's sword opening it's eye when he popped up out of the frozen lake!?!
I certainly didn't!
WTF does that signify, apart from the not insignificant fact that his sword is alive?
Gendry running back wasn't really a stretch - say they made 20 miles from the wall, that's doable. The raven getting back to Dragonstone over one night is probably the biggest stretch we've seen but if that stops you enjoying a Dragon cavalry rescue you're probably watching the wrong show.

LOL, when a show is 66 episodes into its run I don't think a "you're watching the wrong show" defence carries much weight
Even the Director Alan Taylor admitted about the Gendry-Raven-Dragon timeline "so I think we were straining plausibility a little bit, but I hope the story’s momentum carries over some of that stuff”. Well, for me it stepped over the line this week, that's all.
Wow, didn't notice that on first viewing. I wonder if Bran is able to see through the sword's 'eyes'? That might shortcut a few of the timelines issues![]()
I can't say I noticed Jon's sword but reading about there's a suggestion the gem/jewel used for the eye runs through the hilt. So it is white because of the snow then turns dark as Jon appears behind it.
I don't know how true that is but may be worth going back to Jon trying to give the sword to Jorah or any other close ups of the hilt to see if it changes colour.
I thought we were clear that the Night King was one of the First Men the Children of the Forest changed into weapons in their unsuccessful war/defense against the First Men? Although the show may not show it, I'd have more sympathy for Bran inspiring Bran the Builder or making the Mad King mad.

The pommel was made by smiths at castle black, it's not 'alive'.
