**** The Official Samsung Galaxy Note 8 Thread ****

Saw on HUKD that Very have a 10% off code and it works for payments rather than only the credit agreement. Going to pre-order from there too... Note 8 and a Wireless Charger Stand come to £808.58 including delivery.

I repaid in full, Very took the money straight away. They have an option to pay back over 3 months interest free via direct debt though.

Very call to verify that you placed the order, so yours hasn't gone through yet.

I just had a play with the Note 8 in EE and what was surprising for me was that even though it is bigger and more boxy than the S8+, it feels much more comfortable somehow? I was also surprised that the screen was noticeably higher quality. Much brighter, sharper and without the red tint that the S8's seem to have. It still had the green/bluish tint around the sides (length way) but no red tint along the top and bottom.

The camera was actually worse than the s8 it appeared. I took two shots of the same thing side by side and the s8 camera had noticeable increased definition where I could make out dot lights on the EE wall about 20 feet away. The Note8 didn't make out the dotted lights at all.

To no one's surprise, the battery will be an issue*. I can't understand why Samsung made a decision like this? Others have put much bigger batteries on phones and Samsung go through even more QA testing:

*Performing about the same as an S8+ 4 months in.
Had my S8 from launch.

Got 7 hours sot yesterday.

Meh, what's up with that?

I had that with my Note 4 for the first couple of months then it quickly deteriorated, the same with my S4 and the same with my friend's Samsung phones. Luck of the draw I guess.
