Fair enough

70k? That's madness... I wonder how many rebuilts that bike went through?

About 1 piston every 10k . If treated well they only need a top end refresh every 10-15k . other than that there just as reliable as a 4t . And once you have done it a few times it dont take long to do a piston and rings on a 2t

Not sure how you got my response as negative ;-) Wasn't even a dig at IC3 since he probably put more miles on his SV than I did this year on my bike :/ Oh the internet. I was just making a statement that it really didn't seem that crazy to find a 60k bike.

Now off to ebay to find some stupid high milers :)
I did around 13k on my SV, I was just looking at how much the SC59 go for, I'll admit that they're the sexiest generation of blades.

This is how I would do one, if I had an SC59. I would ditch the mirrors and get some integrated indicators though and shifted the plate back a bit. So it would sit on the under tail...

Sold the suspension I had for my SV and checked insurance for an R1 4c8, 3rd Party is £248, TPFT is £540 and Comp is £1000. I'm shocked, now insurance for a 1.0 micra is £1300 :p
Now I'm back to cleaning the storage unit and seeing what else I can shift, I totally forgot about that shock. lol

Visited local BMW dealer today got a price for my GSA's next service not as bad as I thought it would be considering the next one is a big service and its in all day. Or as he described it its the rebirth service as everything gets changed/replaced and adjusted, and getting them to fit a new shaft drive front gaiter as mine is starting to show signs of wear.

Checked out the new System 7 helmet which is rather nice, it is sooooooo light and very comfy, and they are offering a £100 part ex on any old intact crash helmet. Biggest issue is they can't get stock quick enough he ordered 18k's worth of crash helmets and only received one so far

Unfortunately they didn't have the new Enduroguard suit in stock as I am in need of a new suit and really like the look of it but need to try one on and get my hands on it.

I cleared up my storage unit, have some many spares for the SV650. Do any of you guys need anything? I just want it gone, takes up too much space! lol

Tomorrow I'm going to drill my helmet to fit a gopro mount, the front is curved so the only way to make it permanently fixed is to drill and stick a bolt through :o

Hell would freeze over before I stuck a drill thru my lid & put a bolt in the hole, seriously think about what your lids supposed to do & you want to intentionally weaken it?, boggles the mind...

Don't be daft. Risk your head for a bit of footage? You're nuts. One decent smack at the right angle and that bolt will send a fracture from one side of your skull to the other.
