It's nice to see the 'context' excuse being seen here.... Much like a recent trans model claiming their social media racist rant had been taken out of 'context'
Its the SJW/ BAME version off....
'I'm not a racist but.....'
The law seriously needs to be consistent if it wishes to remain respected to any degree.
Still David Lamy is agitating for certain suspects to be given an easier time in the criminal justice system because they are dispriportionally over represented
Don't agree with what she said but context is indeed everything. While there would have been hardly any risk of a SJW actually attacking or killing white men there is rising islamophia* where Muslims (and others perceived to be Muslim) are attacked.
* Insert own special term to describe hating/abusing/attacking/discriminating Muslims...
Outside of psychotic American school shootings few racist/ religious/ political murderers announce their intentions before they embark on a killing spree.
The ramblings of a drunk man do not a credible threat make
Islamophobia is a stupid term used by fools..... It's logically as consistent as claiming someone is a naziophobe
Read the koran and hadith and find out what it prescribes for non believers....
For example according to the koran the West is currently in the 'house of war'. Do you think it's irrational to criticise such a belief?
(maybe someone will pop by to explain how that koran verse has been taken 'out of context'?!)
I'm curious to know at what point Islam became a race, why the judge referred to this as racism?
Got better words to use? Go ahead, and perhaps it'll pick up.
They targetted another group with high power and status, so they lost on that basis. Same old same old. For an extreme example, in 13th century England there was no legal penalty at all for inciting hatred of Jews but saying the same things about Christians would be a hanging offence.
I'm curious to know at what point Islam became a race, why the judge referred to this as racism?
I caught 10 minutes of a documentary tonight about trolling and thought about starting a thread on here. When did troll become synonymous with online abuse. I started using the internet in the mid to late nineties when it was kind of taking off for private use. Back then trolls were jokers who hung around message boards taking the mick. A good troll (and they were rare) was a great asset to an online community. Give us our bloody word back!
Internet access should only be available once passing an exam. A technical one followed by an etiquette one. You fail, you snail! would be the motto.
Same, but for us things actually WERE better![]()
Not this idiocy again.
Every human, whatever their ethnic back ground, skin color, place of birth, are all part of the same race. The human race
Racism refers to social and cultural differences because there no biologically different races. Unless you think racism should only apply to actions against other animals.
Islam isn't a race, the judge is an uneducated idiot. I can't save up fast enough to leave this police state. It's a shame that the laws in this country are determined by a few rich white men in government.
Unless of course you're planning on creating your own country?![]()
So whats your generic name for groups of people that share the same social or cultural background especially when allied to a certain melanin skin count
I. e the generic term for people from different countries is people of different nationalities so what term would you use when you can't just use nationality because you wish to include people of the same group who live elsewhere without the same nationality or need to refer to groups that span across national borders?
To further illustrate my point I could not for example accurately use the term 'African' if I wished only to refer to people with dark skin with heritage from that continent as they may well be themselves or have ancestors from areas where there was ongoing habitation by people of light skin colour before they or their ancestors inhabited the same area in africa as for example is the case in south africa where mainly light skinned Dutch and English settlers were moving into new areas at the same time as the dark skinned people of the zulu's were doing the same?
Trying telling a group light skinned Afrikaners that they are not African and report back how that goes.
Can you please also take your complaint to those who compile English dictionaries....
racist
ˈreɪsɪst/
noun
- 1.
a person who shows or feels discrimination or prejudice against people of other races, or who believes that a particular race is superior to another.
The problem is idiots that do not understand that Islamophobia is racism.
Humans are all part of the same race. that is a hard biological fact. The differences you see between ethnic groups are not differences in biological race. These are largely cultural differences. Discrimination against different ethno-cultrural groups is racisms.
