Pewdiepie racism

People trying to justify casual racism....... There is quite a difference between calling someone a C Unit and a ******* n*****.

It may well have been a heat of the moment thing but there is no justifying it. :)

Children's entertainer uses '****ing n****r' as a curse at someone on air, and people are surprised there's reaction?

At least it'll serve to educate some parents as to the kind of language these YouTube stars are normalising for their kids.
 
The internet is normalising everything that used to be taboo previous generations. I dread to raise kids when they carry the knowledge and depraved filth or humanity in their pockets. People are worried about a douche bag casualty, thoughtlessly saying the N word? Y

The world's moving blistering fast, language evolves weekly. I'm 40 years old ( Jesus Christ) and ten years ago it was rape this, rape that. It's freaking disgusting and sick but that's the way it goes.

I very much doubt that 90% of gamers use it in that manner, and I'm saying this as someone who has been playing online games for nearly 20 years.
I've not encountered it much if at all whilst playing.

I know none of the guys I play with regularly use it in that manner, I can't remember hearing it in general voice comms either.

I suspect it's more common among the young/stupid crowd and a certain type of gamer playing certain types of games.

The guy is an idiot.

A few minutes to see how a game performs or what sort of things you can do in a game should be enough.

I don't think he needs the money though. This is a guy that lives in a very average flat in Brighton and has done for years. He doesn't seem to have much in the way of expensive posessions.

I think he cant safely quit and live the rest of his life care free.

There's no way he's finished. YT will demonetise a few videos, but not enough to hurt him.

If they ban/demonetise videos from someone like Jordan Peterson, who doesn't align with their political leanings, but then leave Pewdiepie alone for uttering what is probably the most taboo and emotionally charged word in existence, then there is something wrong.

Peterson's account was briefly suspended in error, by an automated process. It had nothing to do with his political leanings. He appealed, and the suspension was reviewed. As a result, his account was reinstated.

This guy has more than enough solid fans to carry him through the storm. He'll shrug it off, and so will they. Big YT stars like this one are virtually untouchable, unfortunately.

The kids find it entertaining. Its almost more about the personality of the person "presenting" rather than the game.
