Ended up watching this. Not super creepy, but really enjoyed it. Will be watching Sinister 2 at some point. Cheers ;0
I find those sorts of films a bit depraved and not very fun at all. That genre seems to unduly lean on sexual violence quite heavily and I imagine weird people masterbate to them, which kind of puts me off even more :/Maybe you need to steer away from generic horror and try more 'disturbing' films.

Totally agree, those are not what i would class horror films, they are twisted and sadisticI find those sorts of films a bit depraved and not very fun at all. It Follows.
If I remember correctly relies more on sound so you need a decent sound system.
As Above, So Below was quite good when we watched it. A few bits made me crap myself.

Or... just watch a film for the purpose enjoying it. Nothing wrong with a challenging film but you seem to be suggesting the more outrageous / shocking / depraved it is, the better horror film it is (which I'd disagree with). You don't have to come away wretching for it to be a horror. I also think those sorts of films are more purile than what you might consider to be 'tamer' flicks.Films designed to make people jump are so predictable and boring. Try watching a film that makes you question WHY you watching/watched it to begin with. Try watching a film that makes you so uncomfortable you consider turning it off. This will start your journey into to true horror films.
That scene in Antichrist is pretty horrific....
I disagree, They are not what i or the majority of people would class as horror, Most people watch films to be entertained, scared, laugh etc.. those kind of films are a step too far for most people, you cant exactly sit down with the family or group of friends and stick sodom or a serbian film on.Films designed to make people jump are so predictable and boring. Which one?
The opener is the most horrific for me, then again, I only had a son a few months ago.
