Yes, I'm happy with the aluminium sports watch - I've had two so far and each have survived without a single mark or scratch on either the body or the glass, I can't justify £650 on an Apple Watch.

Definitely upgrading to the SS 42mm cellular. I've had the S0 and S2 SS 42mm and they always look pristine by the time I sell them so going with SS again.

Was tempting to go SS space black this time but the regular SS goes with more bands and is easy to polish the little scratches.

... and ordered, the app came alive before the web site. I went with the 42mm aluminium cellular in the end.

Ordered a 42mm Ali space grey with a sports band. Delivery 22nd. Will replace my Series 0 of the same.

I've worn my series one pretty much everyday since I brought it, skipped the series 2 because it didn't seem to have come on enough.
looking forward to the Series 3 but wasn't interested in cellular at all at extra cost, I just don't need that level of contactability ;)

Payment wise its showing as authorised but not taken yet.

Now that’s interesting. Normally they don’t take payment until it ships but it’s gone from my bank already. I paid with Apple Pay through the app.

Mine delivers next Friday.

I've never had an Apple Watch before so really not sure what size to go for - My nearest Apple store is quite a bit away - Is there any other way to know which size to go for other than going to the store to try them both on?

Its easy, 38mm is for girls and 42mm is for boys ;)

My brother brought the 38mm as he has super skinny wrists and we ribbed him about it (because he's my brother) telling him he only had all the period apps on his watch because he'd picked the female version :D

yeah i ordered a 38mm this morning and changed it to a 42mm i do have skinny wrists but the extra battery did it for me, plus when googling them it was like the 38mm if for girls and 42mm for boys

One thing that no one seems to have mentioned here is that according to the Apple website the watch is 4G/LTE ONLY in the UK. There is no fall back to 3G/UTMS on EE unlike almost every other network it is being launched on. This makes the thing basically pointless if you live outside a city. I live in a small town and while we have 4G as soon as you get outside of the cell tower covering town centre your back to fast 3G. I would really suggest checking your network coverage if your going to use this as a smart fitness tracker and leave your phone at home.

I would have liked to use it when I am out cycling and stuff but there is no 4G when I'm out and about so there is no point as it would need to be tethered to get the online features. It is also very clear the cellular is going to destroy the battery.

I just checked this with Apple chat:

Me: It says about 4g connectivity - does it have 3G also?

Me:As I live in an area without 4G LTE

Apple: Oh, I see. I’d be more than happy to provide you the information that you need.

Apple: Daniel, you do not have to worry, since Apple Watch is capable of 4G, it is backward compatible with 3G.

Just bought myself a Series 0 with a cracked screen for cheap.

This will be the litmus test to see if I use it or not, if I do i'll pay for a 3 once they're ready.

Grabbed a 42mm Nike+ cellular this morning from EE - managed to do it just before 8, was told delivery is Friday 22nd but now I'm reading the Nike watches don't start arriving until Oct 5th. Anyway, this will replace my Series 0 apple watch.

Small wrists? I have very thin wrists and the 42mm has fitted me fine for the past 18 months, have to fasten the strap on the smallest hole though :)

All it says is:

"You can add an EE data plan at any time. Simply open the Apple Watch Series 3 (4G) app on your phone and follow the steps to purchase."
