I am.

It snows in Australia.

Hell, where i'm from, it's currently well into springtime and it's currently -2C at midnight.

42C in the summer, -10C in the winter.

Sorry, thought I saw a Scottish number plate on the rental bike a few posts up :o

Yes, they have these big metal things that travel through the air that enable you to move between countries fairly rapidly :P

I moved from Australia 2 years ago. I live in Edinburgh these days, hence the move from OCAU to OCUK

Australia to Edinburgh. No wonder your name is Hater. :D :P

Just done some car park mechanics in my lunch break to try and find the ear plug I dropped under my tank this morning...It's vanished into thin air. Which probably means it'll fall out of some little crevice half way down the m42  the downside of not using cheap disposable ones.

Go flat out all the way home and wreck your hearing. Problem solved?

Which reminds me... @Diddums free ear plugs came through today

Luckily I only wear one at a time, satnav/music is going on in the other ear. So I won't be going deaf until I lose the other one :D

If it's a city jaunt I don't, long trips I do. also I wear a bell bullit which is quite a noisy lid.

Even my GT-Air, which is supposed to be great for noise, is noisy enough to cause permanent hearing damage at ~40mph if you ride for long enough.

For the last few months I've been commuting on the bike and generally worn leathers except for the odd day of rain where I've worn my textiles. Having had textiles for a few years I now realise how much more comfortable leathers. Does anyone have any kind of suggestions for any sort of waterproof over suit? I'd keep it in my bag for a rainy day (literally, this time) and just throw it on over the leathers if needs be.

Can't throw a crappy poncho over the top? I've always just worn a leather jacket and jeans though thick and thin. Keep 'em oiled and it's all good...

That's what I'm about to look for, just a couple of quid top and bottoms, but wondered if anybody had used anything in particular before :) I got soaked one day and it took 2 days for my leathers to dry :(

Just be careful with poncho pants, I've had the bottom of jeans (in my youth when baggy jeans were cool) munched by the chain/front sprocket, not fun :(

could also just wear a textile summer jacket two sizes too big with no armour over the top of your leather for super double protection
