I purchased a V30 through Mobiles.co.uk with the £15 discount for £145 upfront and a 24 month contract of 5gb data at £27.99 per month.
That is a total of £756.76 over 24 months which I felt was a bit of a bargin for a top of the range smartphone.
I can genuinely say that the rumors about the screen are not true on my model. The screen to me feels on par with the S8, with colours over-saturated in a typical AMOLED way. There is no evidence of grey screen at a tilt and I have seen zero burn in. I would say that colours do air on the blue side, but I actually feel this is more a signature of previous phones I have had with LG rather than the red side which is typical Samsung and I personally prefer it.
The sides of the screen are responsive to touch, although regarding touch, I have noticed that the finger print reader has had some reading my finger prints when setting up, I added a couple for both my index fingers and it works first time 90% of the time, but it does make me wonder if my units reader might have a fault as it is no way as easy as the Pixel.
The camera is great, I am still getting used to it, but it definitely has a really nice interface and in regards to the rest of the phones interface, well the settings menu is easy to use and I just used NOVA for the rest. In terms of speed the phone itself is fast and smooth with battery life lasting just over a full days hard usage at present, so more than adequate for commuting and day trips.
The DAC is sweet and the real reason I bought the phone and whilst I don't have super high end monitors yet; just using my Shure 215's I can hear a big difference in audio clarity.
Regarding audio the phones speaker is definitely its weakest point, but my ring tone and notifications sound crisp and the odd video I show to my friends is loud and enough quality that I don't notice. It is definitely not a phone for consuming media on without headphones though.
So do not be discouraged by the rumours. You can get a top of the range smart phone which is better than both the Samsung and iPhone for far less than either.
