Why is the government entitled to a slice of our wages?

Income Tax is just a temporary tax to pay for our wars against revolutionary France and in particular the Corsican tyrant. How else would we support our ships of the line.

Lots of people think they are better than someone else, sense of entitlement, they deserve more, human beings are greedy.

Communism is a great idea but it takes a police state to keep people in check. And what you normally end up with is a country that’s poor, undeveloped and run by a tyrant. Just look at the Soviet Union, China before they opened their doors to the west and North Korea.

Do you want to live in a functioning society?

If answer is yes that's why you pay taxes. The issue is some businesses who get away with not doing it.

Um... yes? There's a big budget deficit, and the government pays a small fortune in interest on loans to make up the difference.

Doctors choice to be a doctor.

More job satisfaction in helping people than stacking shelves, regardless of being paid for it
