I got rid of the Beta driver and went to 17.10.1 cuz the Beta was making my mouse have a mind of its own when some programs were loading up, looked a bit like when you move your mouse around while running CPU Z Bench, not stopping when you stop moving the mouse.

Edit, also after a few times of minimising and maximising DayZ, it blacked screened and i had to 'end process' of dayz.exe

No issues with 17.10.1

I had some horrid mouse acceleration when I first did the update but it cleared up after I toggled most of the mouse settings on and off a few times, etc. not sure if that fixed it or just coincidence - that sounds a bit more messed up though.

Try to keep to the same driver revisions for both tests!!

Just edited my post, yea it seemed a bit of a mess but the DayZ issue was what made me roll back to a previous driver.

I'll just wait for the next driver that doesnt have the words 'Beta' and 'as is' in the release notes

Update is a success

Driver 17.10.1 remains still installed so I will use that. Just letting Windows finish its hard drive Indexing!

Edit

First thing I noticed is opening Chrome with 20 tabs is super fast! before they was a slight delay now its instant.

Ok First test shows an improvement, Shadow of Mordor The Frame rate graph on the benchmark I knew right away the FPS seems more consistent

Those who are getting stuttering are you running afterburner / rivatuner?

if so turn it off.. rivatuner is having problems with this update

This is irrelevant of game mode on or off.. my games were stuttering and as soon as i uninstalled rivatuner the stuttering went away

More performance for free is always a good thing, Has anyone been getting the 20-30% type of result like Joker was getting and if so in what?

I'm getting the same, I keep getting crashes to desktop as well which is really annoying!

I have a Xeon E3 1230 V2 at around 3.5GHZ~3.7GHZ and a GTX1080,so something comparable!!

Just installed the new creator update, my windows has left a 20gb windows.old file though. Is it safe to delete this file?
