What speed internet connection do you have?

  • Less than 1Mbps

mine is supposed to be a 100mbps connection (could have 1gigabit but I don't see the point), this is using wifi:

I have just downgraded our package. Was getting 980 down and 100 up direct from the router but with power lines was 250 down and 100 up and £80 a month. Now through the power lines I am getting 100 down and 10 up which is exactly what I now pay for and it is £22 a month. More than sufficient for me.

They did try to upgrade us again but I see no reason for anything faster, used it as an opportunity to lower our bill slightly.

Just noticed this thread is from 2006, maybe a mod could update the poll? Just a bit outdated.

Ours varies, sometimes its 51mbps sometimes 56mbps

Download wise i take the words "unlimited data" very seriously, through youtube alone i'd average about 180gb/month not including amazon, iplayer and general browsing.

I'd say atm you dont really need more than 10mbps for one person, although the overhead for nobody even noticing the other is hogging the internet, and downloading from steam/origin superfast is nice.
