Man, that courthouse section was insane. I died so many times until I started to learn the "path" on how to beat it, them guys in the white with the grenades was so annoying.

After the doors opened, I just ran away passing everyone to camp one of the ammo rooms and pushed out from that.

Got through it with quick saves! Yep I ran out the door left and straight up to that turret!
 
Is anyone having problems with textures at a distance? I've only started playing, and not got far, but last night the textures in the submarine basement in the distance where all checkerboard white squares, like some some of effect or filter wasn't working.
I've not tested any further, and I don't know if it is tied to the fact that the game updated and forced me to update my GPU drivers. A bit miffed, wish I'd not bothered letting the game update.

Any body else find similar?

I had a problem with what looked like a chequered overlay put a pic a few posts/pages back. I had to reboot the game in safe mode and adjust settings back to what they were and it seemed to fix the problem.

Ive had to stop playing it :( Too many bugs. Ive rolled back my drivers, and disabled the driver check. But I'm now noticing the shadows pop in and out at close distance. Its really bad.
The whole game is set on max/ultra etc and the fps are consistently 100+, so no idea why basic things are so poor.
 
Finished the main story in 17 hours, man what a ride the game was. Best game this year no doubt.

Still have all the side missions to do like kill the officers, but to me that's just repeating the same maps again. Maybe I give it a ago.

I'm really looking forward to where the next game will take us, maybe the reconquest of the Americas leading onto the next game with liberation of the UK and so on to Germany.

They really could go anywhere with the series.
 
Just completed it too after 14 hours on the hardest difficulty, It's actually a very good game I did not have that many bugs only a few crashes when I minimized it etc, Reminded me of DOOM at times.

Unable to play now - Unable to write crash dump error on start up. Was fine with the public beta branch but release won't load.
 
Just completed this, excellent game, top 3 for me so far this year, number one in single player games, hope they churn one of these out every 2/3 years, the ending topped it for me
What's not to like about a naked blood drenched pregnant woman slaying Nazi's!!
 
Good job they put that disable driver check in I was about to get a refund as I could not even launch it anymore! Poor technical launch they should have include Vulkan & Direct X options ingame not just Vulkan!

Why provide both branches when Vulkan does a stellar job?

Remember if they only have one in there the quality is higher.
 
I just picked this up for €28. moved into a new apartment a week or so ago, just got decent broadband today, time for my ryzen/vega 64 rig to stretch its legs :) Only been playing less demanding games on this PC for the past few months since it was built so i'm excited to see how it really performs. 1440/144hz freesync monitor and decent stable overclocks with ram at 3466. should be good I hope :)
 
Something weird going on and I hope someone can help? Ryzen 1700 @3.9, vega 64 AC overclocked and undervolted, boosts to 1650ish stable, fast ram running at 3466, latest crimson driver, 17.10.3, creators update for win 10. freesync 1440/144hz monitor which I double checked is set to 144hz in windows and freesync is showing at 40-144hz range. The windows power plan is set to high performance. If I run a benchmark, e.g. 3dmark timespy, I get an expected result, in my case about 7800 score. If I run cinebench multi threaded cpu bench I get 1730+ which is also expected. If I run this game it gets 60fps locked in the menu's and then drops to 40fps capped in the game. This is 1440p and the highest video settings "mein Leben". I checked all the obvious stuff like vsync wasnt on or any frame caps in place. I should be getting 100's of fps?

Any ideas?

vysnc off? drivers up to date?

Ive fixed it. DDU'd the drivers off and re installed. now getting over 150fps!!!! rookie mistake, I'd just done an express upgrade over the old drivers.

good good. i always use DDU. some argue its a waste of time but you've proven otherwise.

I've had the game since launch day last week and was trying to hold off starting it until I'd finished a couple of other games I'm playing but caved in and fired this up tonight. Isn't it an absolute triumph that the Vulkan API can give this level of performance from what is a stunning looking game?! Think of how much money you'd pay for this kind of performance upgrade if it was a graphics card doubling the expected frames per second for a AAA 2017 game. So impressed. I really don't get how some of you guys think the graphics aren't up to scratch on this, I mean really? I must be really insensitive to textures or something if that's the case because to me this looks awesome at 3440x1440.
