I don't use a screen protector but I've always put my phone in it's own pocket with no keys or anything.

Yeah i've noticed quite a bad one on mine which is worse than what i got on my old 5S in over 3 years of ownership.

You’re the guy who went for the ultraviolet purple then :p Hope you enjoy it. I’m loving my 8 so far, next year I’ll likely look at the X, I don’t expect prices to adjust majorly but hopefully I can pick one up in the states next year like I did with my 8 and bag a saving.

It’s definitely the best colour ! :D goes well with space grey.

I was in the same boat, but decided that The 8 is more than enough for me.

I’ll grab the X successor next year
 
I’m having call issues with mine and it’s getting right on my proverbials.

It just randomly decides whether to ring when my dad calls or a message comes through. I haven’t got do not disturb on but quite often my dad says it just rings off after one ring and I don’t hear any ring st all from it. All that pops up is a missed called notification. Can’t figure out for the life of me what’s going on with it.
 
Is anyone else suffering terrible crackling and popping from the phones speakers using the youtube app? I thought it was my phone but it doesn't do it when using earphones, playing music, watching a recorded video or even the same youtube video if I watch it in browser.

Glad I’m not the only one... I’ve tried everything and it still won’t go away. Any ideas what’s causing it? It’s driving me mad!
 
I haven’t. Curious to know if mine will do the same. Which video ? Or any random video ?

Edit. Nvm. Massive thread on reddit confirms it’s the YouTube app

Just got my 8 Plus and tested it (on the MKBHD X review :p) and seems fine for my handset fortunately
