Xbox One X

Should updates and game downloads you push to the xbox when in standby and instant on mode install still if the external hdd is set to turn off when console is off under power mode settings?

Hi, I don't have an Xbox One X yet but have one on order with Very.co.uk with an expected delivery date of the 30th November. Does anyone know will the suppliers have stock again by then?
 
I'd have thought so. Several places that were out of stock yesterday appeared to have stock today and indeed some still do.

I believe so, I have all games download to internal and copy to external once complete.

I have seen games update fine overnight.

If it were something minor then I'd agree, but freesync is a game changer for me at least. One of the best purchases I made for my PC was a G-sync monitor. No longer do I worry about getting a fixed FPS to keep stuttering/tearing at bay.

If I have the opportunity to get that experience on the One X then I'll definitely wait, especially as they are supposed to be coming out with 2018's TV's
 
Picked mine up today, spent the afternoon trying to get it set up. Wouldn’t install gears of war, loads of errors, cortana took too long to start error etc etc. Reset it, no joy, unplug, factory reset let me sign in, then keep getting installation stopped. Nowtv won’t sign in....so frustrating. Seems to be installing tomb raider ok now. Does it cost money to change your gamer Tag? Asking me for 7.99 to do it.

It's only really the CPU holding the One X back now, they could just update the CPU to a newer architecture (i.e. AMD Zen) and keep the same power GPU and it could probably run most 30fps games at a locked 60fps with a dynamic resolution in place.

I wonder if the recent AMD/INTEL team up will spill over to the next gen console design? a next gen AMD gpu paired with a i5/i7 + HBM would be a true next gen leap......here's me not even opened my xb1x yet and I'm already fantasising about what's 2-3 years down the line :D

You're not alone mate as it seems other people are having these errors, as I mentioned in a previous post I've had the to long to start issue which I've never experienced in my four years of one ownership and I've yet to install anything yet because all my games were on my external and now I'm **** scared incase I get an installation stopped error lol!
