Acceptable to hit someone with a whip when they're grabbing your horse?

The longer video I saw this morning showed the rider repeatedly using her horse to barge a female sab before the male stepped in and grabbed the bridle, presumably to prevent her from continuing to use her horse as a weapon.

spot on and the "lady rider" was trying her best to agitate the horse.

Perhaps the toffs shouldn't be out hunting poor innocent foxes! The sab was only trying to control the horse, the rider probably couldn't give two tosses about her horse.I'm a sab supporter and yet the police never do anything even though the sabs have shown them evidence time and time again of fox hunting

I've spoken to several friends that hunt, and even when they are just following a pre-laid trail it's still called a hunt, which in my opinion is where a lot of the issue comes in. People often get all offended by hunts were a fox isn't even being used.

In this case we've no idea what caused this escalation. What we do know from past experience is that both sides get charged up, there is the expectation of conflict between both sides and things can often get out of hand. Maybe she was charging people down, maybe she was worried she was surrounded by sabs and was purely defending herself and her horse. Ideally, they all need to grow up a little.

The sabs wouldn't want to hurt the horses. Clearly the woman has no love for her horse if she'd use them as a weapon! They don't care for hounds either from the footage I've seen... hounds getting hit my cars, stucl in barbed wire and left etc and then the Sabs have found the poor buggers. No compassion from these hunts!

I have a solution to this. Bring all of them, both sides, minus horses, make them stand in a tight circle in the field, douse with petrol and ignite.

Total idiot. Don't know anything about the hunting scene. I can imagine if a horse bucks then could do some serious damage to rider and people around, also to itself. Probably looking at spinal injuries if you get thrown off. Better ways to make your point. Think the guy should be charged.

Bit like someone grabbing the steeling wheel of a car that's going about 10mph.
