PLAYERUNKNOWN'S BATTLEGROUNDS - Thread

People are forgetting this game was supposed to be out of early access back in August. Yet this game has become even more unstable for me as of late.

It's a great game but if someone comes along and makes a stable optimised version with the similar mechanics and gunplay I know I would jump ship.

The development team need better more experienced developers. It would be worth them splashing some of those millions on contracting an expert from the likes of Bungie or Planetside, etc to come in and assist them for a few months.

Just my opinion but I can't disagree more. Sure, i've had the odd laggy patch but apart from that I can't fault the game. I think it's wonderful and a great buy. I've had so much fun and game time for the cost.

I was playing H1Z1 before this and PUBG is the game that I jumped ship to - it's miles ahead of where H1Z1 ever was and has great devs IMHO.

Just had a great game on the test servers, managed to kill a guy who had the sniper suit along with silenced SK and silenced Aug, added to my 8x sights I was all set :)

Got to the last 4, had been popping shots at a guy before someone else took him out, name was Dr_Dis_Respect, copycat or was it really that chap off the videos?

Anyway carried on with 3 of us left, I was crouched in a bush and managed to see the other two guys crawling prone. Popped up and got one, luckily the other hadn't seen, then did the same to the other for the win :)

Well my game crashes 3-4 times at least every session. Hardly great development

not had 3-4 crashes in 200+ hours.. had 1 bug where my resolution wouldn't change but dont think ive ever had the game crash or freeze my PC. sometimes get a bug where its stuck on "matching" a lot too but UI refresh fixes that!

thats also with a heavy OCed CPU and GPU!

Love how you cant say anything negative about PUBG on these forums ;)
you can be as negative as you want, if you're being honest.

is it laggy, yes at times - sometimes its almost unplayable
is it buggy, yes at times
is the hitreg ropey, yes at times
has it got it's flaws......hell yes......can it be frustrating as **** to play.......hell yes.......can it be one of the most exciting and satisfying games to play......hell ******* yes!

it's the 'exaggerators' that usually get flamed.

ive had frequent crashes but its usually after the game when exiting to lobby.
sick of the lag though, first 5 mins is ridiculous i cant kill anyone with a shotgun the hits just dont register

other weapons arent so bad as so many bullets are coming out the weapon that some are bound to register but its weird how it doesnt effect everyone the same.

I'd hazard a guess that its anyone with anything negative to say about PUBG?
Did you read my post. I've plenty negative to say about it - because there is plenty negative about the game. So I'm not a 'fanboy' which I guess it's what you're trying to allude to yet for some reason don't have it in you to actually say it.

I'd have no problem calling you a fanboy if that was my point. However I was pointing out this threads tendency to jump on anything negative directed towards the game.

there must be some other conflict going on, I know it's far from stable or optimised but 3-4 crashes per session is not normal

Nah it's the patch they put in a few weeks back before then it hadn't crashed in like over a month. Since then constant crashing. However yesterday I had zero crashes so did they release another small patch? May have fixed it.

However I have played PUBG over 3 different systems. Maybe the new coffeelake CPU had issues which are being patched now.

People from discord will testify that I have had game crashes constantly. Luckily I have 2 X nvme m2 SSD drives. So restarts and relaunching takes literally a few seconds. I can restart the game 4 times within 20 seconds. A full pc reboot takes like 10 seconds to I'm back in discord again.

My system is brand new coffeelake, gtx 1080 etc. Brand new Windows 10 install when coffee lake was launched.

Not my fault I got a stable pc :) my net crashes more then my pc does and I live 30 secs from my exchange :)

well i just figured out that 90% of the lag has been on my end and not the games. never had issues before with VM. I have 200 MB download and 12 MB upload. however ping spikes from the norm to over 800ms sometimes over 1000ms. it's a known issue with the SH3 and a restart is supposed to cure it however i restarted mine and the following day it was still spiking so i think it's also an area issue now. a restart is supposed to keep it fine for a couple of weeks.

however the game does have lag i've seen it hit me and the whole squad also got it too. they are using amazon servers so it's down to them or they don't have enough for the player base and they are being overloaded.
