Would anybody be willing to run through original raid with me on Saturday night around 8? I'd like it done before dlc drops otherwise I suspect like d1 I'll do it 3 years later lol

Apologies to butt in with a random dumb question...but I've never played either & I've got the first one at home as ive only just got the Xbox one.. does anyone still play the first game, i.e is it worth bothering getting into at all?

Its still a decent game and probably costs peanuts now.

The end game content might be difficult if the player base it low though, no idea how many people are still playing D1.

Erm, yes and no. Actually, I say no but obviously haven't played it.

If it's more of the same with minimal changes then maybe not. The raids make up for the overall shortfall in end game where the only thing that makes sense is to do public events for bright engrams (once you have the small list of must have weapons) so there's not much to do. If you can get a good group for the raids it's worth all the grinding (even though the raid loots rubbish).

I have already bought it and will no doubt enjoy the DLC and raid but D2 aint like D1 where you can keep playing and still find something to do. Can't wait to try the new raid lair.

Wasn't sure if you'd played it, can you tell I'm a little bitter about how D2 turned out?

From what I've seen there's quite a few new exotics. Like the look of the homing spider grenade launcher. There's a few in the vid I posted above.

Ooh sounds good I’ll give it a watch now ! Aye, I’ve spent a few hundred hours grinding the vanilla game just wondering if it’s gonna be worth jumping back in!

I use the Gatling gun with the war rig armour on my main, but still collecting as many exotic weapons as I can

I use the war rig too in PVE along with the origin story as my primary and some other auto as secondary. Auto rifles are strong in D2. I really want the Uriels gift so I can properly compete in the crucible, it's all I get killed by. I also change out to the alpha lupi chest in PVP to grab that extra health in clutch moments.

I think with D2 you have to treat it like a regular game now that you play for a short time, do the content and leave it until the next DLC. D1 was like a hobby where you could continually play. Hopefully things will change in September.

I can’t tell you the amount of times I’ve had uriels gift given to me by the gunsmith. Lol. I’ve never really thought it was any good ! I still have one tucked away in my stash. So I may dig it out !

I watched that video and for £16 I’m sold. Gonna dive in again, it all looks good but weather it turns out to be more of the same.. at least I’ll get a few hours of play out of it !

like the look of the mic drop emote. And some of the new ship designs look awesome. (The new exotics look good too from what I can tell)

Edit. Will it be available to play as of tonight ?

5pm tonight I think, preload at 4pm.

The reason why Uriels wrecks in PVP is the high calibre knock back rounds, if you shoot somebody one on one it makes their aiming reticle go everywhere so they just can't hit you. So annoying when someone does it to you, it looks like your character is being electrocuted while trying to aim

I got one early in the game and dismantled it not knowing how good it was

I don’t really play pvp. So haven’t really had the chance to use any OP weapons in it

might give it a go now I know uriels gift is good for it !

I don't know if you got it but Hardlight was working for me when IB was on, also Nameless Midnight (legendary scout). it was actually out gunning the Mida :eek:

I also lost count how many Uriel's Gift I've had. It was the first gun the gunsmith gave on PC to

I've not got the Hardlight yet but understand they buffed it after D1. Will give it a try when I get it, I think you can buy engrams now off Xur which are a guaranteed exotic you don't own. Still want the PS exclusive. I would use the Nameless Midnight but I mostly have the Mida in that slot.

Are there many of the console regulars now playing on PC? Been pondering moving over for the hell of it, best of both worlds.

Not sure about others but I'll be reverting to PS4, I have the expansion pack and don't intend to buy it on PC as well. Looking forward to the update, D2 with HDR should look pretty damn good.

I'm not fully committing to the PC either as I've already got the season pass on PS4. My go to game on PC at the moment is The Division, I'm enjoying that again.
