Destiny 2

I haven't bothered to switch my ps4 on to try the dlc yet, might give it a go this afternoon. Just feel very meh about the game now.

Same dude :( I think they missed a massive opportunity with the infinite forest, I wish they were like Diablo 3's rifts and randomly generated instead of needing to start an adventure to go in it.
 
I bought the base game knowing full well what to expect. Got 90 hours out of it and stopped playing so I cannot complain.

Based on d1 dlc as predicted they repeated their past mistakes again. Glad I didn't buy the dlc or season pass.

I will probably not bother with D3 unless there are some serious changes as it most likely a rinse and repeat.
 
Will be giving the update a blast tomorrow evening if anyone wants to join, not too fussed on the campaign content but if he end game is improved then that's what I'm after.
 
I'll wait till I'm done with the campaign to see whether there's even enough worthwhile stuff to keep playing before I redeem my expansion pass voucher.

Curse of Osiris seems to be ridiculously small to charge such amount of money for and not many months after release, on top of that. I hope they're really planning some big and free changes. If not, I can't see many people sticking around till the second paid expansion.

If I didn't get this stuff with my console, I wouldn't even consider buying it.

There is, in the DLC lol.

The story was OK to play through once but it was basically the strikes tied together with filler infinite forest bits. The infinite forest is basically generic platforms one after the other with random enemies.

I CBA to grind the new weapons even. I got the new trace rifle from my second purple engram luckily and its broken in PVP so will be nerfed.

I just hope the raid lair is good but from the looks of things no one will be about to play it.

Bungie spent all their time remaking D1 vanilla (same enemies/guns/subclasses etc) and assumed we'd just play the shell of a game again until Y2/Y3 content (paid content) brought it to Destiny Y3 standards. Looks like that backfired on them because they had a great community who they have just **** on. Now that passionate community will just redirect that passion and aim all their anger at Bungie which they should have seen coming.

Edit: anyone on here getting monster hunter world? That looks kind of like a looter and you collect/kill rare monsters and stuff. You can group up in 4s too which will be good. Never played a monster hunter game but am tempted with this one.

Quite interested in MH, will be checking out the beta.

As for Destiny 2, it's sad that such an enjoyable foundation is completely destroyed by greed and lack of direction. I mean, I haven't played D1 but haven't they learnt anything from 3 years of that? Do they really intend to repeat the same cycle again?

IMO, cutting up an already not so big game into pieces and selling a 2h campaign in a tiny sector is just taking the ****. Such amount of content should've been free.

I wonder what they'll do in the massive gap between this and the next paid "expansion" to keep people playing...
 
Nothing they can do really, even though unbelievably they have 3 studios working on this (so players would never run out of content they said :rolleyes:). They have a Christmas event coming but that is historically all cosmetic stuff you have to pay for and it is also timed so will be gone after 2 weeks.

Don't get your hopes up Mak :( Granted haven't tried the new Raid lair but not holding my breath, even the new strike is a mission from the campaign. Lazy gits lol

Sorry, misread your post.

I think most of the content on Mercury is in doing the adventures over and over as I think the infinite forest is locked behind this. I did a heroic adventure and it gave me something with which I could unlock one of the new weapons. Not found much else.
 
Wait, I completely missed the Eververse *******s and it uses real money?! I've heard there's an armor in Curse of Osiris that can only be obtained through Eververse using real money:/ I had fun yesterday so I ended up reedeming my expansion pass voucher but making people pay 20$ for a very small expansion and then locking some of its content behind a paywall is the new low...
 
I'm going to stick with it until I've played around with the new raid and endgame a bit more. Definitely be on tonight. It's not been the best start to the game but I've got fond memories of D1 so I want to at least see if we can recapture that!
 
To be honest, I like the game. There are things that aren't as good as destiny 1, but things I like more.

I play on Xbox fairly regularly, and would appreciate an invite to the clan if there's any space left? Currently in one, but there's never really enough people on at the same time to get a raid together :(
 
Ran my first heroic adventure. That was hard as balls. Power Level 299 but still. Only 2 recovery does not help but my setup can charge Solar skills very quick so a quick "grenadr and dodge" tactic works.
 
I feel old asking this... I just got the White Pro Destiny 2 bundle, where is the DLC pass? There is a code in the case but thats for a few bits on the back f the case.

Edit: nevermind, it's part of the same thing
