January Transfer Window 2017/18

So has Sanchez’s future been sorted yet?? :p.

I still think he will stay at Arsenal till the summer then make his move to City.

Who is doing better than him? Welbeck? Giroud? Iwobi? They're all as bad as each other! Even Lacazette is firing blanks now. Maybe a change in personnel is what was needed under Wenger.
Giroud is injured so can’t play and when he does, he is miles better than Walcott. Welbeck is rubbish, never should have signed that Utd reject. Iwobi should be nowhere close to the first team especially after his antics the night before the fa cup game against Forest.
Lacazette isn’t getting the service he needs to score goals and again is playing too deep which doesn’t suit him. If we stopped passing the ball a million times before shooting then he would be scoring for fun.

I’m glad Walcott is going, he should have been ditched years ago. The fact we gave him a new contract worth £100k a week was beyond a joke. So no real loss there.

The Mirror reporting that personal terms have been agreed with Auba and Arsenal...

Pinch of salt needed:p

Come on, we can all pick and choose time frames to suit our argument. Chelsea and Utd are a much of a muchness. All things being equal it's hard to argue, strongly at least, either way.

That may be the case, but my point was Chelsea have regressed and United are progressing. That cannot be argued, it's simple fact.

The timeframe is last season, to this season. They will end the season with less points, less wins, less league titles.

I mean, if that's not the definition of regression I don't know what is.

Lets look at from earlier in the season when Utd were 6 points ahead of Chelsea. Since then Utd have regressed and Chelsea progressed :p

Over the last few years both sides have had ups and downs, Chelsea's probably being more extreme - they've finished lower but they've also won titles. No player is going to look at a 5 month period when committing to joining a club for 3, 4 or 5 years though. They'll be looking at the overall trend at both clubs over the last few years and what the outlook is going forward.

Quite right, so United have the more positive outlook, they're more willing to spend the money to bring in the big name players, improving on their recent league performance. Chelsea aren't willing to spend the money on the big names, are worse than last seasons performance.

When I say spending the money, I mean the £90/£100 millions. I suppose Chelsea did spend money, but they spent badly.

I can't see an argument to suggest Chelsea have a more positive outlook than United. Unless of course the rumours of them looking at Andy Caroll are considered positive.
