I enjoyed the last episode, in fast most of this season has been good.

I just wish the streaming quality was better, how are you guys watching it?

I use the app on my LG OLED, I get the quality dropping in and out all the time, I have VM 200mb, I tried plugging the TV in with a network cable but it didn't help, my wifi is very good. I also tried the app on my UB700 bluray player but the picture quality was worse and it buffered a lot.

no issue with quality here other than the first 30 seconds, which is always like 8 pixels. after that its fine. why don't they just buffer before playing, or whatever the issue is.
on windows 10, opera browser.

Really enjoyed this episode - just the right balance IMO which TGT has been struggling to find. Comparing it back with the TG days, obviously there were dud episodes then as well, but this episode could well have been a good episode of TG as-was. I'm very glad they've still got it in them as I was so disappointed last series that they didn't do more with the money or concept - was expecting a road trip every episode (given the name). I'm perfectly happy with them producing TG under a different name though.

Watching it on my dads non oled LG its the same. It seems to drop the resolution quite a lot. It doesnt seem to show it as 4k either (or at least the box at the bottom shows 1080P but it seems pretty sharp). Is this series in 4K and HDR?

I've noticed on the Amazon Prime app on my Samsung 4K that there's a 1080P version of it and a 4K HDR version of it. The app doesn't seem to work like Netflix, where they just stream the best quality you can view. You have to specifically choose to watch the 4K HDR version. I watched the first 4 episodes before realising there was a 4K HDR version available (I just assumed it would be 4K HDR).

I'm on BT Infinity, get about 75m/20m up/down and I've not experienced any image quality drop outs so far.

You need to find the UHD version of it as Amazon split them unlike Netflix where it scales up, we've not had any problems with quality dropping once in UHD. We plug in with a cable and I'm on the 350mb VM package.

Looks stunning in 1080p through my nVidia Shield TV (Android box) via VM 200Mb. No 4K here yet; waiting for OLED prices to drop a bit more before I treat myself.

I thoroughly enjoyed this week's, and last week's Jag episodes in particular. I love the quality of the production - the audio and video quality is outstanding. The noise of the crowd cheering is ridiculously loud though, but hey it's like being there I guess!

Are the Face Off sections worth watching? Have been skipping them.
They're okay. I'll skip them if I don't like the celebrities.

I've been wondering why I can't get it to play in 4K. Pretty much all Prime content!

Will explore this later. I was literally about to buy an ethernet cable as thought it was the TV over wireless even though Netflix does 4k no issue

I must admit, this season has been MUCH better than last season. I didn't even bother watching the last few episodes of last season it was sooooo bad, in my opinion. But I have thoroughly enjoyed this season. It's like they have worn in the new boots, and are now back on form.

As for the celebrity bits, they are ok. No better or worse than the celeb bit in TG for example.

Sort of - you do indeed have to choose the 4k one, but it will also only show what it deems suitable for your connection. So even if you select 4k HDR, it won't always show in that.

It is incredibly annoying as I would far prefer it to behave as you thought, forcing 4k, but unfortunately not. I don't care if I have to wait for it to buffer to get 4k, but you can't do that, it'll just keep showing in whatever it thinks is 'best'.

Im not sure it has a 4k section on my dads tv anymore. Im sure when we watched the last series (also on that tv) there was a whole category for 4k and now i just dont see it.

That's precisely why I added the 4k series of TGT to my watch list - the 4k section goes walkabout and can be a right pain to find because the search system (at least on my Samsung TV) is terrible.

i watch via the fire stick. the image quality seems ok. but the audio is pretty rough. i notice it at least a couple of times an episode, dome distortion/heavy compression in a few places. Running through a Denon AVR and quad speakers, so the fire stick will be the weak link here.

Celebrity Face Off isn't that bad this week, although it is Nick Mason and Stewart Copeland.
The price Mason paid for his 250 GTO is just sickening....

Great episode. If this week and last week become "stable" in terms of content, with some big one off pieces in between, I would be more than happy with it.
