yup bought a 1030 GT and that was £75. Normally HTPC GPU's are £25-£45.

No-one who only wants one card will pay £900+ for a Vega card.No 1 per customer limit. I wonder why that could be.
True, I have plenty of games I still haven't played. I was lucky to upgrade at the right time...well actually lucky that my old monitor packed it in at the right time. If I were to buy my monitor new now, it'd cost £70 more, and I wouldn't even be able to find my GPU for sale anywhere. My main worry right now is if my rig goes bang and I have to pay £250 for new RAM!Some members still going on about how this will kill PC Gaming.
The reality is the majority will just wait until prices are sane again.
Until then, i'll just work on my backlog of games...52 completed, 356 to go (plus 81 wishlisted).![]()

Absolutely!!! Makes that price look cheap now. Honestly shocked to see prices like this and whilst Vega and 1080Ti are decent cards, the 1060 I bought from here for a friends build has even gone up £50. Not a good sign for the long runRemember the days when the original Titan came out and we paid £829 and people said we were crazy.
The current situation doesn't stop that being crazy, in fact it legitimises retailers' thinking that people will buy cards at stupid prices.Remember the days when the original Titan came out and we paid £829 and people said we were crazy.
Retailers are legitimising because of miners and the massively high demand for them. The current situation doesn't stop that being crazy, in fact it legitimises retailers' thinking that people will buy cards at stupid prices.

Current stock of RX Vega 64 are £950 and restricted to 1 per customer, so not aimed at miners. Obviously mining is creating the shortage that pushes prices up generally but you can't say that people who bought cards for nearly a grand before there was any shortage didn't add fuel to the fire.Retailers are legitimising because of miners and the massively high demand for them.
Yer, looking back to Titan days, pricing was high and previous generation were around £450 for the top card but then you go back to the 8800 Ultra, which cost insane money, which was out of my price range at the time, so had to make do with an 8800GT but that didn't mean I lambasted those who bought Ultra's and there is always cheaper alternatives that can do a stellar job. Miners have sent the prices mental this time though and that is fact.Current stock of RX Vega 64 are £950 and restricted to 1 per customer, so not aimed at miners. You were crazy the 290x came out couple months later was faster and half the priceRemember the days when the original Titan came out and we paid £829 and people said we were crazy.
