Lightroom/gaming bundle upgrade

Tried to install off a brand new windows ten usb, but it looks like is corrupt. Managing currently to install Windows 8.1

My plan was to make a new usb from Windows 8 hopefully I can do that?

Edit - making a USB now. Gave me the option to upgrade. Didn't think you could do that anymore?

Think you still have to enter a new CD key to register

All done, dodgy win 10 usb key. My new own made one worked.

I've been pulling ram, hard drives etc.... And it was just windows. Grrrrrrrr.

How do they supply corrupt usb keys?!

:/ Using a mass bank linked to a purpose built machine that messages them out at a high rate

Get some snaps up of the rig , and update to Fall edition before having a good play/software install

When I come to put lightroom on, is it best to put lightroom on my C drive and catalogue on my spare m.2 or out lightroom and the catalogue on the spare m.2?

I'll have yo see if I'm at Fall edition, says it's upto date, but run out of time today to play.

download and use, using control panels update doesn't go straight to it and installs a load before in order =/

up to you really, sound like they are both SSD so should be quick- i tend to store prpgrams that arent games to the main drive - C: everything else to storage drives - but i do run all SSDs and most are nvme format

This method has no downside I think. The other method could add additional writes/communication to the C: drive whenever you start up and use Lightroom, and also slightly lower access time to the Catalog/Previews/RAW Cache on M.2. I say could because I don't know for a fact. Just that programs installed on drives other than the C: drive typically cause the C: drive to extract and hold (in TEMP folder etc) some program information from the other drive. If the program is already on the C: drive there is less need for it to do that. So if the C: drive has enough room for the actual program, then it would be my choice.

I'm on fall edition of windows.

Lightroom is on C, catalogue on spare M.2

It's certainly A LOT faster! Not imported or exported yet, might try export later as I have some ready.
But general usage and scrolling through photos is soooooooo much better than my old PC.
