I kept trying to talk my wife up to the M4... but it’s too big for her, she can’t handle it... she prefers smaller things![]()
It has a confirmed starting price of around £49k though?
EDIT - damn beaten
B) because this is likely to hit the residuals of the standard M2 pretty hard.
Selfishly I hope this does happen. I've already seen well optioned 1 year old M2 LCI DCT's for £38-39k on BMW AUC. Any lower and it's going to turn a bargain into an absolute steal.
I said not looking my ago I was left very underwhelmed after test driving an M2 (having stepped straight out of my M135i) and one of the main issues for me was the engine.
Sure, it looks amazing, but I felt the premium over the M235i just wasn’t justified. Hopefully the M2C (with the engine it should have had from day 1) will make much more sense.
M4s are huge muscle cars that spin off the road and honestly no one is too enamoured with in reviews. Look at the number of crashed cars on auto trader. It just can't put the power down.
I'd consider a M235i, do you think they will hold their current value ?
Driver error.
Doubt it.
Values aren't going to plummet, but they'll likely go the way of the E82 135i.
When the M235i came out it was relatively special, but now there are two technically superior models.
It's turned into the equivilent 330Ci of the E46 age.
Ultimately it's always driver error, but aren't M4s well known for having high amounts of torque low down in the rev range which caused issues putting the power down? Isn't this one of the things the competition pack rectified?
