PUBG Sues Fortnite over Copyright Infringement

I doubt one is suing the other because its similar gameplay. Otherwise all shooter devs, all rpg revs etc would doing similar.

While I've not played either I suspect its more a case of similar interfaces, key features or graphics.

i think there's a bit of a backlog, some bloke called flavian has an outstanding case to the intellectual property of putting a bunch of people in an arena and making them kill each other for public entertainment
Hello Roman empire, Emperor Nero calling. y'all owe mucho silver denarius for my idea

PUBG made a lot of cash but they failed to maximize on their success and now are salty that Fortnite is kicking their ass.
This is gonna go nowhere, but man would I love for EPIC to pull the engine from them, probably not able to, but I honestly dont see why PUBG devs are being so greedy here.

Shame they don't put this amount of effort into fixing their broken mess of a game.

They have already ****** up once, and it seems they are keen to go to round 2.

Indeed.

I don't play either games, but I just know of mountain of issues that still plague it. I think I hate on PUBG mostly because i'm salty over garbage early access games that don't fix their **** (Looking at you day z).

day Z is to debut with a new cutting edge engine, they are overtaking arma which is the engine they had used before. They will use the new engine before the arma series itself I think, I guess it potentially a bigger game in scope then a milsim. I believe its in beta test right now for some

Regardless of the argument (I think the lawsuit is totally stupid btw and the bluehole Devs should indeed be focusing their efforts on just making the game better), have any people commenting about the "mess of a game" actually played it recently?

Not sure about on console, but on PC unless you have a potato computer, the vast majority of bugs have gone and did so quite some time ago. It isn't perfect, but the major issues on launch have all but gone. Makes me wonder if people just read something one time and latch onto it as gospel forever.

I think the same dev (PlayerUnknown) who made PUBG made the original BR mod for ARMA then helped develop H1Z1, he then left them to make PUBG.
Nope, one of the guys we used to play, mod and code with made the first version of BR for arma, I’m sure it’s I’ll probably still be on Armaholic, wasn’t long after he published that another version came out and a few streamers played that one and th rest is history. I’m sure the guys tag was mckenzie and he was from somewhere in Fife..

I'm reading the comments here and thinking the same thing as you. I very rarely see cheaters and the game is pretty stable on my mid-range PC.

I know the console version is far from complete, but its also still early access.on console isn't it?

yup, game plays fine. still prone to bugginess ropey net code/desync but for the most part plays fine. you nearly always find the same thing in 'bashing' threads.....folks that aint ever owned to game hating on, much like apple haters who've never had an apple product in their hands.....it's good to hate

its making the first mod but he made succesful games or helped make them popular. they do have a case. they started arma 2 long before others.then arma 3 h1z1 and pubg.its pretty simple to see whats happened and anyone arguning it needs to look at fortnite. it was nothing to do with BR. fortnite was doing terrible or not very well.PUBG was getting all the hype so unreal just thought lets do the same.

without pubg they wouldnt of done fornite BR. when you think playerunknown has been doing BR for close to ten years before fortnite copied pubg.you cant say they havent got a claim that pubg was kinda copied. i can see unreal actually losing money on this but it wont bother them as last month alone they made close to 300 million. i guess we will see how big the fine is if pubg can pull it off.
